Magical Witch Punie-Chan, also known in Neo-Japan as The Great Magical Gap (Neo-Japanese: 大魔法峠, Dai Mahō-Tōge) is a Neo-Japanese video game from 1993, it was originally created for the Ro-Sega Genesis but was ported to other consoles by 1999 and would later be exported to Robloxia in 1995 by Ro-SEGA of Robloxia.

The game, despite being an Neo-Japanese video game, was developed by the now-defunct Robloxian video game developer, Ro-Sega Technology Institute (RSTI).

Summary

The plot of the anime is about the misadventures of a witch girl, Punie (who adopts the name “Punie Tanaka”), who transfers to a regular Neo-Japanese school after realizing that she wanted to become the queen of her parents’ kingdom.

However, the protagonist, Punie, is actually a ruthless girl who uses wrestling moves to defend herself by casting her signature spell (that being “Lyrical Tokarev, Kill Them All!” (in the original version and the 2022 Robloxian remaster) and “Lyrical Tokarev, Get Rid of ‘Em All!” (in the original Robloxian release)

Gameplay

The game is a Role-playing game (RPG) where the player assumes the role of Punie Tanaka in a fictional setting inspired by the real-life Neo-Kyoto, and as the game progresses, the player receives XP (experience points) by completing tasks present in the game, there are also boss fights present in the game, such as the boss fight between Punie Tanaka herself and the main antagonist of the game, Anego.

Rating

The game’s 2022 re-release in Robloxia is officially rated E10 (Everyone 10+) by the Ro-ESRB due to containing significantly more fantasy violence, minimal suggestive themes and mild language (the words “what the heck”, “damn” and “idiot” are used in the game).

The original Ro-ESRB rating from its initial 1995 release in Robloxia was T (Teen).
