Lovely World: the Beta Series — Partial World, also known as LW: Partial World, is the eighth season of the animated television series Lovely World and the third season of The Beta Series, created by John Collins. It was co-produced by Starlight Productions and animated by Cinebolt Productions and Brightmyth Film Studios.
The season originally began broadcasting in the United States on Children's Avast Television and in Bloxanada on Avast, respectively, on July 29 and ended on November 25, 2017, only containing 17 episodes and two specials, becoming one of the shortest seasons in the series. Unlike the previous season, this season included a single story arc centered on Alexandra, who has been sent to a distant realm by a beast, and Anthony, together with Corey, Sophia, Lucy, Kelly, Eawn, Isabelle, and Bradley, must find a way to liberate her from the horrors of the other world.
The idea for a season-long story arc was first pitched to Cinebolt Productions, which began production alongside Brightmyth Film Studios to work on the episodes. Production on the 17 episodes began in July 2016, with the majority of the previous season's resources used for this season, since the animators wanted the animation to be smoother than the previous two seasons. Furthermore, the writers wanted for the season to be "much more serious," a departure from the lighthearted tone of previous episodes. Except for the original cast from the first five seasons, the most of the prior characters return in this season.
The season was well-received by critics and audience, who praised the animation, writing, character development and the arc. It was ranked as one of the best seasons in the animated series. Ratings for this season reached over 5 million viewers for few, but averaged over 4 million viewers for nearly every episode.
