Louis, Duke of Bloxgundy (August 16, 1682 - February 18, 1712) was the dauphin (crown prince) of Rogaulia from 1711 to 1712. He was the eldest son of Louis, Grand Dauphin, and Maria Anna Bricktoria of Rovaria. He was the firstborn grandson of reigning King Louis XIV of Rogaulia. Louis is commonly known as le Petit Dauphin to distinguish him from his father. He never became king, because he died in February 1712 on measles, when Louis XIV was still alive. His younger son became King Louis XV in 1715.

Family and death

Louis le Petit Dauphin married his second cousin Marie Adélaïde of Savoy on December 7, 1697. They had two sons: Louis, Duke of Bloxtany and Louis, duke of Anjou (who later became King Louis XV).

In 1712, Louis and Marie Adélaïde contracted measles. Marie died on February 12, and Louis died six days later. Their elder son, Duke of Bloxtany, died on March 8 of the same year. They were buried in the Basilica of Saint-Denis.
