During the Evolution Serie's first decade in the 1960s, (Starting on February 1, 1960) the halftime show originally was featured by a professional marching band, along with parade floats which would accompany several multi-million dollar corporations. [1] RFL Commissioner at the time, Ross Higgins, held a speech at the end regarding the future of halftime parades.

For many years, the halftime shows would remain parades, however, due to the fact that many people would skip the halftime shows, the RFL decided to change the halftime performances. [2]

RFL Commissioner, Jerry Stanton, stated, "Next Series, in February 1993, will be very different from your typical halftime show. I believe it is something that might increase viewership, possibly more on the halftime show than the actual football game." [2] Prompting for a change of halftime shows.

On February 12, 1993, the Evolution Series XXVIII would take place at Raymond De Rubio Stadium in Retropolis, Rohio, [3] which was the home place of college football for Rohio State University. Instead of going outside, the performance took place inside, and was performed by Randall Bloxon. [3] Because of this performance by Bloxon, the Evolution Series saw an increase of viewership, which mainly came from music or Blox culture enthusiasts. [3]

Following the same year, the RFL kept up the tradition, this time starring Kenny Bloxins, [4] of the Reorgia Middleman. [5] The performance occurred on February 1, 1994, where Bloxins performed several of his most famous hit-songs. It was also estimated that the viewership increase to 120 Million Robloxians annually, from 90 Million in 1990. [4] Because of this, the RFL completely dropped doing parades, and instead focused on getting major artists to perform at the games. [4]
