Liberation of Redcliff

The Liberation of Redcliffe was the great battle of King Xargas against the Barbarian King Kanavus. As a result of the battle, the barbarians were defeated and completely disappeared as a faction. This followed the wars of the Corblox Barbarian heirs against Redcliffe and his allies.

Background

• After the barbarians enslaved the city dwellers and many other inhabitants of Robloxia, the mighty King Xargas decided to take revenge for the lives and territories lost. He spent all his money to gather every possible army. This army turned out to be 300 voluntarily hired knights. However, the barbarian king Kanavus, who was in the city after the victory, did not yet know what was in store for him.

The battle and the further fate of the fortress.

• King Kanavus was resting with the barbarians in the main building of the fortress, when a guard suddenly came to him and said that an army was approaching. King Kanavus looked out into the street and saw the army of King Xargas approaching the city. However, it turned out to be small for them, and they were counting on a quick victory. The army of Xargas lined up, and the army of Kanavus, numbering 1000 people, also came out to meet. The Knights of Xargas went on the attack and began to crush the army of Kanavus. The barbarians were cowardly and could not move forward but stood still. Therefore, the army of Xargas bypassed them and surrounded them. Everyone was in a panic, since the Kanavus was not with them but with his guards of 50 people. The Knights of Xargas began to mercilessly destroy the barbarians, and as a result, all the barbarians were slaughtered, and some barbarians died from disease and hunger. The battle lasted more than 2 hours, and King Xargas entered the city in triumph, where he was greeted by the inhabitants. Kanavus, when he noticed this, realized that the guards had set him up, as they had to report Kanavus’s defeat. Kanavus rushed to flee from the fortress, and Xargas, who noticed this, went with an army towards Kanavus and caught him. Kanavus gave all the gold to his faction, but they still did not pardon him and cut off his head. The guards did not want a painful death, so they jumped into the river. After this, the city residents spent many years building a memorial to the fallen knights. Xargas entered over Redcliff Mountain, and created a faction there called the Knights of Redcliffe. From that day on, the Korbloxes, the heirs of the barbarians, began a military campaign against Robloxia, which later ended in defeat.
