The Legions of the Sun are a guerrilla and paramilitary organization illegally founded by Kaleikaumaka Wilama and Lanakila Mikala in the 1930s fighting for the independence of the Telamon Islands. After the outbreak of Roblox War II, it played a key role in the occupation of Manakapa and the proclamation of independence, and then in the fights to maintain it. During the war, the Telamon Islands did not have a well-concentrated army, which de facto consisted of paramilitary organizations and volunteers. After the war, the Legions of the Sun were de facto the presidential guard. Their members helped build Telamon City from 1954 to 1972. At that time, they enjoyed greater prestige than ordinary soldiers. The Legions of the Sun were finally disbanded in 1973, a year after the death of President Lanakila.
