Keiichi Maebara is the male protagonist in Higurashi Daybreak, he is a 14-year-old (15-years old season 3 onwards) boy who is often depicted holding a baseball bat.
He is voiced by Tamako Kamiya in Neo-Japanese and by Spike Spencer in English.
Personality
Keiichi is mostly depicted as a annoying spoiled brat who, despite being spoiled (and sometimes downright mean, as seen with some of his interactions with Satoshi and Satoko) is seen to care about his friends and other residents of Ro-Hinamizawa. He is also willing to help his friends every time something goes wrong.

Trivia
- His birthday is on May 26, 2006, according to the official handbook, released August 2nd, 2016 in both Robloxia and Neo-Japan). This would mean that Higurashi Daybreak takes place between 2020 and 2025, but it is unknown if the handbook is canon.
- There is a gag in the series (since season 8) where every time Keiichi is alone, he uses a shovel to look for something. It is unknown what he is looking for, but he may or may not be looking for a dead body. If verified, this could be the most disturbing aspect of a kids show. It is presumed that the dead body is Satoshi's.
- Most robloxian parents consider him to be a very bad role model due to his behavior.

- He has a BloxTube channel. His channel is called “KeiichiMaebara_NJP”, and there are 2 other versions, one in English (KeiichiMaebara_EN) and another one in Spanish (KeiichiMaebara_ES). (both the Neo-Japanese and the English channels are inactive as of March 2021, however the Spanish channel keeps uploading clips of the newer Higurashi Daybreak episodes)
