Kamehameha Makakala (born 1985) is Telamonian politician belonging to Future Party and President of Telamon Islands since 2024. He is member of Kamehameha clan.
Life
He was born in 1985 in South Point. He has noble roots, his father belongs to the Kamehameha Clan. He graduated from Telamon City University. Then he got involved in politics. In 2009, he joined the Future Party, gaining popularity. A year later, he entered parliament. In 2014, he became the chairman of the Future Party parliamentarians' club. In 2017, he took part in the local elections, becoming the president of South Point. He held this position until 2021, when he was defeated in the second round of elections by the Green Party candidate.
In 2020, he participated in the pre-elections in the Future Party, taking second place and eventually becoming the vice-presidential candidate. In 2022, he was returned to parliament, where he held the position for two years. In 2024, after winning the pre-elections, he became the presidential candidate. After winning the first round, he faced the incumbent president Keanu Ori from the Agrarian Party in the second round. He eventually won 52% of the vote and became president. His government began various reforms. According to polls from 2025 March, he enjoys 47% of public support.
