Jailbreak Prison (also known as Stormford Medium Security Prison) is a large prison, located in Rising City, Jailbreak County, United States of Robloxia. The prison facility was initially constructed in the late 1940s by Goethe Knight, who also oversaw its initial opening in 1951. Since that time, the prison has seen significant expansion. The prison is renowned for its expansive complex of buildings, including one for the inmates and the police officers, which now consists of three buildings, one of which serves as a lunchroom; there are plans to construct a fourth building in the next years.

Jailbreak Prison had received harsh criticism for its simple means of escape, including unprotected fencing, excessive use of force by the guards, lack of action, and others. In a 2019 analysis, it was shown that at least 50 to 100 convicts attempt to escape each day from all of the decisions they made, with the most of them succeeding. However, some of them are revealed to have a much longer time thieving outdoors owing to a lack of heavy group of police outside. According to reports, the convicts were also "likely to become more and more mad" as a result of their disrespect and behavior. According to rankings, Jailbreak Prison is currently the worst prison in the country.

In Jailbreak County slang, the prison is simply referred to as the Prison or as the Jail. It is a major building in Jailbreak City where prisoners live and escape from.

Appearance

About a quarter of the Jailbreak Prison itself is surrounded by electric fencing. Any Robloxians who comes in contact with the wire at the top of the fence will die in 1.2 seconds if they're moving, meaning that Robloxians can stand on an electric fence without dying or being injured. As of the 2023 Prison Renovation, which occurred on June 3, 2023. the only fence that can be stood on without breaking the prison rules is near the electric box escape. The rest of it is surrounded by tall prison watchtowers with surveillance platforms that can only be accessed with a keycard. The back half of the prison has a standard wall with climbable towers. However, Robloxians need a keycard, an aerial vehicle, or a firetruck to get onto them. There are several trees scattered in and around the complex.

Buildings:

Main Building

The Main Building is the largest building of the prison, with two floors, several rooms, and plenty of floor space. It is also the prison even though the entire thing shares the same name. It is located opposite the yard and diagonally adjacent to the prison's police station.

The main building houses four main rooms. They are the cafeteria, cell block, security office and telephone room. The security office is the only room which requires a keycard to enter. When one enters the main door, one views the hallway and the board of top criminals which shows the criminals with the highest bounties in the county. However, the board is not currently working. On one's left, one has the telephone room and on one's right, one has the cafeteria. If one goes down the hallway, one will see a door straight ahead leading to the cell block and one on the left leading to the security office.

Parking Lot:

The front of the prison complex contains a very large parking lot. Three vehicles previously parked at the parking lot: the SWAT Van, a Camaro, the Patrol, and the SUV up until July 2020, where the SUV stopped parking here, and the Surus started parking here.

Criminals can easily escape from the parking lot if it is left unguarded, as there are several vehicles the criminals can steal, and a hole in the fence that criminals can crawl under to escape. At the entrance of the parking lot is a gatehouse containing two buttons that can be used to operate the gates and allow vehicles in or out of the complex. Also in the parking lot sits a single ramp, which can be used for escaping with the addition of rocket fuel.

Beginning on December 20, 2020, a bank truck drop-off was added right outside of the prison's police station.

Cafeteria:

The cafeteria is a building in the prison. This cafeteria does serve a bit of "sentimental" value. In the cafeteria, there are tables and a countertop where prisoners would supposedly grab their meal trays from. This is where prisoners eat their breakfast and dinner.

Kitchen:

The kitchen was a small room inside the prison that protruded out of the side of the cafeteria and contained two keycard-locked doors, one inside the cafeteria and one on the front of the kitchen itself. It was demolished when the prison was renovated.

Prisoners could have entered the kitchen and climbed into an air vent, accessible by using the cupboards to boost a Robloxian into it which would lead them to the top of the main building. To escape, all a criminal needed to do was cross over a small wire to jump onto the wall. This method of escape was easily the most uncommon one to see being used and was usually only used when cops were difficult to sneak past.

Telephone Room:

The telephone room is located in the main building left of the entrance. It requires a keycard.

Inside are supposedly telephones and books. Robloxians can use the telephones or books and sit in the chairs.

The doors of the room used to be locked and required a keycard. Beginning on July 6, 2018, the doors of the room were unlocked and the room no longer required a keycard.

Prison Police Station:

The prison's police station is a large building at the prison. Inside of the prison's police station, there are many weapons and items for police officers (or prisoners and criminals with keycards) to obtain. A few glowing monitors on desks with some chairs can be found. The upper floor has a darker blue floor but otherwise the same desks and computers. On the roof of the police station, there is a button that opens the gates between the police station and there is also a helipad where helicopters would land and take off. There is an Robloxian flag directly in front of the police station.

Security Office:

The security office is a rather small building found at the prison. It is located on the cell floor, which is the lowest one in the county, along with the bank basement and the sewers.

Prisoners would follow the opposite way the arrows are pointing in the cell floor to eventually reach the security office. Robloxians will need a keycard to get in, or a police officer must let them in.

The armory here includes a shotgun, a pistol, but lacks SWAT gear and police uniforms. Police used to work here between 11 PM and 6:30 AM, but after July 2, 2021, they no longer work here.

Visitors Building:

The visitors building is a minor building in the county. It is located inside the prison. Prisoners can use this route to escape. It was demolished on October 4th, 2020 but later rebuilt on June 3rd, 2023.

Prison Yard:

The prison yard is a location in the county that is located in the prison. It contains a large variety of objects, such as the trampoline and treadmill. The trampoline can bounce prisoners into the air. If a prisoner bounces higher than usual, they will hit the ground and are temporarily rendered unconscious. The treadmills will push the prisoners back on them, similar to the water in the sewers. During free time and cell time, the yard may become crowded because prisoners will be working out here in the yard. It is believed that the more prisoners work out in the yard, they will be stronger when fighting against the police.

Vents:

The vents are one of the rarest escape methods. They lead to the roof of the main building. However, the Robloxian needs a cop to open them for the Robloxian since a keycard is required. They were located near the security office.

Sewers:

The sewers are an underground building that prisoners can use to escape from the prison.

It has three entrances and exits. One of them are outside the prison and two are inside the prison. The water in the sewer slowly moves Robloxians, pushing them along with the current. Running with the water movement makes Robloxians run/walk faster while running against the water movement makes Robloxians run/walk slower. The entrance is located between the prison garage and prison's police station.

Once a Robloxian is in the sewers, the only way they can escape is through the way they came in at, or at one of the other two escape points. The exit outside the prison does not open from the outside, only from the inside, yet Robloxians are still able to enter through it if they have a Robloxian inside the sewers already.

Prison Cells:

The prison cells are buildings in the county. They are found in the prison inside the main building and deep down in the county. If Robloxians enter the main building from the courtyard and follow the hallway to the end, they can take a flight of steps down. At the bottom is the cell block. Robloxians may also notice arrows on the ground, which point towards the flight of steps. These arrows are used for directing Robloxians to where they should go after getting out of their cell. If Robloxians follow the arrows in the opposite direction, they'll encounter nothing, so the Robloxian has to follow the arrows to the stairs.

Prison Garage:

The prison garage is a building in the county. It replaced the visitors building, and is now usually parked with three vehicles. Possible vehicles include: the SWAT Van, a Deja, the Interrogator, the Surus, and the Patrol. The Deja also comes with its own sirens.

Prison Schedule:

The prison operates on a daily schedule. While guards may choose to enforce or ignore this daily routine, the prison staff itself does not force the prisoners to enter their cells, attend breakfast, work out in the yard, etc, nor does the prison staff force the police to go to the prison police station, the Rising City police station, or the military base.

The visitor's building is open from 6:30-11:00 AM and 3:00-11:15 PM.

It is rare to see prisoners who follow this schedule, as they usually focus on escaping the prison.

On June 3, 2023, the prison schedule no longer exists, and prison staff only suggests all prisoners to work out in the yard.

Time Activity P.A System Announcement (P.A system announcements stopped working on May 3, 2020) What guards expect prisoners to be in (before June 3, 2023) Visitors Building Door

Prison Raids:

Prison raids is a tradition that can be done by police, criminal, or prisoners. While this tradition is not officially acknowledged by Badimo, this tradition is acknowledged by Robloxians who just want to have fun in the prison. Because a lack of official acknowledgement, a Robloxian taking part in a raid will not be rewarded, but raids can be very large or very smalll.

A typical prison raid begins when one or more Robloxians, usually criminals or prisoners, acquire weapons and begin to attack any police officer they see in the prison. This either happens when a team of criminals get weapons from the gun shops in either a town or a city, and then infiltrate the prison and attack any police officers they see, or when a prisoner successfully gets a weapon and begins to fight the police within the prison. Sometimes, criminals and prisoners will also try to liberate other prisoners, done by flying helicopters into the prison yard and letting prisoners in to fly them to freedom.

Prison raiding can also happen if a prisoner enters the vent in the visitors building, sneaks into the police station, and grabs weapons. There is also a gun store in the prison where police can drop weapons through the wall. If a prisoner gains a key card, they can punch the punch box and enter the gun store to acquire weapons.

Police could also take part in raiding by attacking fellow officers with weapons like rocket launchers, grenades, or C4s. The officers were formerly told that they have to friendly fire. However, on October 31, 2022, Badimo repealed the Friendly Fire Act. However, they can still defend from raids by killing or arresting criminals.

Prison raiding can begin and end at any time. Raids usually last fairly long, and can drag on for quite a long time. Raids only end either after police successfully arrest all raiding criminals/prisoners and criminals kill all police officers taking part in the raid, or the criminals and prisoners simply lose interest in raiding and disengage. Raids can easily restart, however, when the prisoners who have been arrested for raiding decide to get guns from the prison, restarting a raid.

As many Robloxians who participate in raids are skilled Robloxians, there is a risk of being killed by the opposing team, or arrested by police if one is a criminal or. aprisoner.

Robloxians are raiding if they

  • Stay away from police officers and attack at long range: Robloxians in a raid tend to attack from mid to long distances to avoid being arrested the moment the raiding begins. They attack using sniper rifles and rocket launchers.
  • Be careful when police officers pull out a taser: Robloxians in a raid tend to jump around and zigzag while shooting an officer when they pull out a taser, since getting hit by a taser bolt will cause a Robloxian to be unconscious for several seconds, giving the police an edge in trying to arrest criminals. These tips apply to normal combat as well, but is especially important for avoiding taser bolts.
  • Train their aim: Raiding relies on good aim, especially since short distance combat is not advised. Without good aim, Robloxians likely will not deal much injuries to police and may be subdued more easily.
  • Pick up keycards from dead police: Police drop their keycards if they die, so Robloxians are advised to obtain one under a safe situation if a keycard is needed.
  • Bring a glider: When a Robloxian is being closed in by police, having a glider will ensure a quick escape from police when they get too close by gliding away. Be wary since gliders can only be used once. Jetpacks will not work in this scenario, since they are banned in the prison, which is why a glider is recommended instead.
  • Barricade police spawns with fire: Robloxians will shoot multiple rockets at the doors of a police station or a security office inside the prison block to cause huge fires. This will render the police injured while the police are attempting to escape the police station or the security office. This also allows for easier kills, if not an instantaneous one.

Robloxians are defending against a raid if they:

  • Bring healing items: A Robloxian will be injured often in a prison raid. When a Robloxian is a police officer trying to defend from a raid, Robloxians should bring items for healing purposes, such as a forcefield launcher and/or a donut. SWAT can also bring a riot shield to block bullets for extra protection.
  • Use their surroundings to their advantage: Robloxians should hide whenever possible or necessary to reduce the possibility of injury.
  • Employ the taser: Using a taser can be very effective in a raid, since one can stun a Robloxian to render them unconscious for a few seconds. This will allow either an opportunity to arrest the criminal, or reduce the Robloxian's firepower to allow a change to escape and heal.
  • Kill if necessary: Killing and not arresting prisoners is highly recommended, since they will simply go back to the prison without their weapons away from a criminal base, which would allow them to return for a second round.

Robloxians are doing both if they:

  • Bring friends and/or teammates: Robloxians like to bring along teammates for support during raids. This is especially important for criminals, as fellow criminals may be able to bust criminals out of handcuffs when they are arrested.
  • Use missiles: For the police who are defending from a raid, using a Black Hawk or a jet to injure Robloxians before one enters the fray to arrest can grant a huge advantage. For criminals, taking down police with missiles will greatly turn the tide of the battle, and is an invaluable weapon.
  • Watch the radar: Robloxians who use a radar device can help identify hidden opponents, and one can see and anticipate an attack/arrest attempt earlier, allowing an escape or attack.
  • Have an escape vehicle nearby: When being swarmed by the opposite team, having a vehicle nearby to get away with will be a good idea. A good choice would be to park locked aerial vehicles or hovercraft in the prison yard, as, unlike cars, they can escape through the prison walls and gates due to the ability of flight.

History

In the late 1940s, Goethe Knight first proposed the Jailbreak Prison structure. Goethe Knight said that he sought to build a jail that was "better than any other prison" while also attempting to build one that would reduce crime in the city. Up to the announcement of the jail's construction, which started in 1949, no intentions to establish a prison had ever been heard of in the city. Anika West, the city's first female mayor, donated a total of R$80M to the prison in its early years to enable it to grow and create more jail cells for both men and women. While working on it, the mayor made the decision to limit incarceration to men since they committed crimes at a higher rate than women, who were considered to be "nice" people. However, Goethe Knight informed the mayor that it was also possible that women may be committing crimes alongside men. The jail was finished in full in January 1951, and on June 21 of the same year, it was inaugurated.

At least 200 inmates, primarily males, were housed there when it first opened. Since there were too many inmates to fit inside a single structure, Goethe Knight revealed in 1959 that he had plans to build a second facility for the offenders. Due to a lack of scheduling and several decisions made by the mayor and Goethe, the construction of the other building took four years and was completed in October 1963. Because there were more crimes in the city at that time, the jail saw a significant increase in the number of male inmates in the early 1970s. As a result, Goethe Knight added at least 60 extra officers to handle the detainees. Additionally, the lunchroom's hours, which had been established in 1963 and opened in 1964 and had been open for almost ten years, were adjusted to 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

On May 29, 2023, the Jailbreak Prison sustained major damage with fires breaking out and overall chaos. According to a Ro-Tweet from Badimo, "multiple fires have been reported", including information from exclusive sources that "the prison will be back to full operation by Friday."

On May 31, 2023, Badimo announced a renovation of the prison coming in June including new escapes, cells and floor plans, spotlights, and more new features.

In the 2023 Prison Renovation, which occurred on June 3, 2023, the Jailbreak Prison was revamped featuring new escapes, features, and buildings within the prison.

Criticisms

Fun Facts:

The visitor building is colored red, the prison police station is colored blue, and the main building is colored orange.

The gates to the yard are closed when the schedule says it is not yard time or free time. However, the gates are unlocked, meaning that Robloxians can enter the yard any time.

Robloxians were once charged with a crime when standing in the area in front of the police station and the visitor building on June 3, 2023. A few days later, Badimo pardoned everyone who stood the area in front of the police station and the visitor building and no longer made it a crime.

The spotlights that were demolished on the watchtowers were rebuilt.

In the punch box escape, there are footprints leading to how Robloxians can get out of the gun shop area.
