Jack Johnson Davis (born August 16, 1946) is a Robloxian actor, writer and director. His career spans more than four decades, primarily active from the late 1960s through the early 2000s. He is widely known for directing and writing films such as Bloxy (1986) and In The Light (1990), while acting in numerous of shows during the 1970s such as Just A Comedy, that aired from 1970 to 1975.

Born and raised in Chattanooga, North Bloxifornia, where he grew up in a middle-class household. His father worked as a municipal planner, while his mother worked as a secondary-school literature teacher. From a young age, Davis was highly interested in writing stories and acting them out. Following his graduation in the mid-1960s, Davis briefly studied communications and dramatic arts at North Bloxifornia State University. He then immediately became involved in community theater and independent television projects, gaining a modest recognition. His breakthrough occured during the early months of 1970, following his role in Just A Comedy. During the 1970s, Davis had been in the peak of his acting career. During the mid 1980s and 1990s, Davis’s career shifted more into a director of several notable films and shows.

Early life and education

Jack Johnson Davis was born on August 16, 1946, at Chattanooga Medical Center in the city of Chattanooga situated within the state of North Bloxifornia. He was born to Harold Davis and Alice Davis. His father was employed as a municipal planner, while his mother worked as a secondary-school literature teacher. From a young age, he showed a strong interest in creative expression, frequently writing short stories and would privately act out his own stories. He was heavily inspired by actors which he had seen through television, such as Luther Carson. Davis attended multiple local public schools in Chattanooga. At school, he would often join clubs that engaged in drama and roleplays. During the mid-1960s, he graduated and enrolled at North Bloxifornia State University to study communications and dramatic arts. However, he did not complete a formal degree.

Life and career

Davis began working in the North Bloxifornia theater after graduation. His first major breakthrough came in May 1970 he was one of the main cast in the sitcom Just A Comedy. The show as extremely popular around the nation which had helped Davis earn significant recognition. The series ended after airing its last episode around September 1975. During the late 1970s, Davis was noted to take part in many comedic shows.

By the early 1980s, Davis gradually shifted his focus away from acting and toward writing and directing. He directed his first film, Night Weather in 1982, which took about a year to complete. The film met a modest commercial success. Four years, later, in 1986, he wrote directed the film, Bloxy, which was based on a novel published in 1982 by Fredrick Roberts. The film experienced a major commercial success and was eventually labeled as “one of the best films of the 1980s” by the end of the decade. During the 1990s, Davis resumed writing various stories for films, however took part in acting rarely. Throughout the 2000s, he began taking part in diverse sponsors and interviews and retired from directing in July 2011.
