Hurricane Quakily was a hurricane that affected Baja Bloxburg Valley, Bloxburg Valley, and North Bloxifornia. It was the 17th named storm of the 2020 Eastern Telamon Sea hurricane season.

Meteorological Synopsis:

A tropical wave moved off the coast of Baja Bloxburg Valley Sur on the night of April 27th. Disorganized at first, it gradually became better organized, and it was given a 13.33% chance for development on April 30th while in the Eastern Telamon. Environmental conditions were favorable for slow development of the wave. The chances increased as it approached the Baja Bloxburg Valley Sur and continued to become better organized, and it was at a 66.67% chance of development while bringing heavy rain to the Baja Bloxburg Valley Sur. Early on May 2nd, it had an 100% chance of development while in the northern Baja Bloxburg Valley Sur. The wave then became organized enough to be declared Tropical Storm Quakily with intensity of 50.67 miles per hour later that day.

The storm strengthened into Hurricane Quakily with intensity of 97.33 miles per hour (Category 2) on May 3rd. Hurricane Quakily headed north as it gradually strengthened. On May 5th, the storm impacted Baja Bloxburg Valley, bringing heavy rains and flash floods. Quakily became a major hurricane on May 6th as it slowly headed towards the Furry Hangout. Because it was threatening the hangout, the Robloxia Weather Service issued a rare hurricane warning for the Furry Hangout. Quakily continued to strengthen until it reached its peak intensity of 120 mph and lowest pressure of 950 millibars while near landfall. It made landfall on May 8th, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, flash floods, and mudslides. While this hurricane missed the Sacramento Bay Area by 8 miles. the Furry Hangout and other islands in the Telamon Sea that was in Robloxian waters sustained an almost direct hit.

Quakily rapidly weakened over 66.2 degrees Fahrenheit water and entered South Bloxifornian waters as a very disorganized tropical storm with intensity of 50.67 miles per hour. It restrengthened into a hurricane with intensity of 97.33 miles per hour and reached its send peak intensity of 97.33 mph as it made landfall near Blackville. Quakily made landfall on May 10, bringing heavy rain and flash floods. It rapidly weakened over the mountains of Roregon, and degenerated into a remnant low on May 11. Overall, Eddie caused R$36.8 billion (2020 R$) in damage and killed 53 Robloxians, 11 of which were indirect. 23 Robloxians were reported missing. Many of the deaths were caused by a big mudslide that buried homes in Baja Bloxburg Valley. 1 of the deaths were in Baja Bloxburg Valley, 43 were in Bloxburg Valley and surrounding areas, and 8 were in North Bloxifornia. Quakily's tropical wave also caused a death in the Baja Bloxburg Valley Sur.

Preparations and Impact

Baja Bloxburg Valley

Once Quakily became a hurricane, a hurricane watch was issued for Baja Bloxburg Valley. It was later upgraded to a warning. Robloxians were told to stay inside and prepare for flash floods, mudslides, and heavy rain.

Once Quakily hit Baja Bloxburg Valley, it caused heavy rain, strong winds, and flash floods that killed three Robloxians and left four Robloxians missing. Damage was R$2.133 billion (2020 R$).

Bloxburg Valley/Furry Hangout

After Quakily left Baja Bloxburg Valley, a hurricane warning was issued for Bloxburg Valley. Since Quakily was moving slowly, the governor of Bloxburg Valley said that the storm could bring "potentially destructive" impacts to the state. To prepare for the storm, Robloxians boarded up their homes. Some Robloxians also evacuated.

In the mainland, Quakily brought heavy rains, hurricane-force winds, flash floods, and mudslides. Its storm surge flooded the areas closest to the beach. Quakily also caused a big mudslide in Bloxburg Valley that buried many homes and killed 31 Robloxians. 16 Robloxians were missing in the mudslide. The remaining 12 deaths in Bloxburg Valley and surrounding areas were caused by storm surge, flash floods, and other mudslides.

In the islands and especially in the Furry Hangout, Quakily caused surprisingly low amounts of damage due to the modern construction standards and great preparations. All residents of the Furry Hangout were evacuated to The Disco where they were served complementary food. After it passed, not much damage had been done to any of the central buildings, with the most damage being found was a few snapped planks on The Observation Post. The Furry Hangout continued normal operations three days later after clean-up was finished.

Overall, Quakily caused 43 deaths in this area, 5 of which were indirect. There were also 19 Robloxians missing, most of which was because of the mudslide. Damage in this area was R$28.8 billion (2020 R$).

North Bloxifornia

As Quakily was leaving the waters of South Bloxifornia, a hurricane warning was issued for the North Bloxifornia state. Robloxians there were told to stay inside through the passage of the storm since it was expected to be much less severe than in Bloxburg Valley. They did not really need to board up their homes.

Once Quakily struck the area, it caused heavy rains and gusty winds. There were also flash floods and a few mud and landslides. Eddie caused eight deaths, five of which were indirect. No one was missing in this area. Damage in this area was R$5.867 billion.

Retirement:

Despite the damage and deaths it caused in Bloxburg Valley/Furry Hangout and surrounding areas, the name Quakily was not retired and remains on the list for 2026.
