Half-Blox was an upcoming animated science horror film directed and produced by AmigoVilla2002, and co-produced by Glebplay3452 based on SCP: Containment Breach, and Half-Life 1. The film was first announced in a public post in May 2023, which was originally titled as R:SCP Containment Breach in July of that year, before the title was switched to Half-Box in March 2024. The film was supposed to be released by Cineblox Productions on May 16, 2024, via Random Movies. However, it was cancelled in 2025 due to AmgioVilla losing interest in the idea and losing interest in Roblox film making.
Plot
Site-14
On October 31, 2021, Doctor Amigo, a Site Guard named Mochi, and Containment Specialist "French", are discussing a past containment breach in graphic detail, where they then part ways at the LCZ cafeteria. Amigo navigates to his own test chamber where he and the main character of the film, Doctor Kash, are going to do an autopsy on "deceased" instances of RSCP-102-1. One is revealed to be alive, so Kash shoots it dead with a silenced pistol. Meanwhile, Mochi is going to supervise a test on RSCP-108 with an anti-mass spectrophotometer. Doctor Lio, and Doctor Jensen, whom is communicating remotely through a screen to Lio, conduct the test, putting a rod of 108 into the spectrophotometer, when suddenly, the emitted electromagnetic waves reacted violently with the rod, creating an explosion and reflecting the laser beams across the room, causing site-wide tremors, destroying the electrical grid, and then creating a mass tear in space at Site 14.
A man speaks to someone in the dark, saying "You look afraid. Don't be afraid. This is a dream! The last dream you may ever have, for nightmares are coming." After seconds of darkness, it speaks again, stating "I wouldn't want to wake up, but you must."
The camera cuts to Jensen announcing to the site from his control room, warning the personnel in the site that a containment breach has occurred and that space anomalies are occurring, warning people to not trust their senses.
Extraterrestrials
It pans out to the dark and empty cafeteria from earlier, mostly abandoned, when a green lightning ball of energy materializes, making a small explosion. (The film has "chapters" marked by small captions at the bottom of the frames every time a new one starts.) French wakes up, lying and injured on the cafeteria hallway floor, when armed alien soldiers, presumably from the green electric portal in the cafeteria, hold French at gunpoint, one saying to another that they have to speak in the "native language", and that the emperor needs the finest men. Meanwhile, on the surface, a scientist is walking alone in the snowy paths above the facility, attempting to find the Mobile Task Force units meant to be deployed to the site. Above the mountains, a V-22 Osprey arrives, with MTF Epsilon-11 "Nine Tailed Fox" in it. An Osprey pilot belonging to Osprey "Vulcan-3", attempts to radio to an adjacent Osprey in the air, "Vulcan-2", attempting to request something, when he notices the craft is flying oddily. Vulcan-3's pilot radios for back-up, as a seemingly alien aircraft attacks it and shoots at Vulcan-3's left engine, leading to it crashing into the snowy foothills. On the other side of the surface, another Osprey with Epsilon-11 units is landing, as one officer onboard yells at a new recruit named Damien. The units exit the Osprey, and see the scientist from earlier, who had slipped on the ground and required assistance, but one unit informs the scientist that the R5 command requested a cover-up mission on Site-14 (likely due to the negligent nature of the RSCP-108 tests being done, they had probably known this would have happened if they weren't being careful), and the unit executes the collapsed scientist with their rifle. Back to Amigo's test chamber, he is talking to Kash in the dark about a potential containment breach after the lights went out, trying to connect it to a cause, mentioning the anti mass spectrophotometer.
Echoes of a Resonance Cascade
After they talk, Amigo finds a flashlight and tells Kash to get to the surface for help, as the lack of electricity means it will be a long time until anyone is notified of a breach. Amigo stays behind, claiming he can't lose any of his scientific work. Kash ventures with the pistol out of the chamber, but is interrupted by SCP-173 at the end of the corridor, staring down at him. He rushes down to an arsenal before it can reach him, and he attempts to find weaponry. He runs into SCP-035, an infected guard. Kash is hit by 035's shotgun, and his attempts to shoot it with the pistol is partially successful, killing 035, but the gun's components literally fall off from the recoil. Kash acquires the guard's shotgun, but is tempted to put on the mask. He then runs by it and picks up a pistol.
After the encounter with 035, he runs into a rogue D-Class agent carrying a machete, although he's literally shot instantly and dies. Dr. Jensen attempts to use the P.A. to get the attention of the personnel, claiming to be hiding in the LCZ's break room. He states SCP-280 has escaped containment and other SCPs have escaped containment as well. SCP-280 appears briefly besides Kash.
Back to Amigo, he attempts to get through a burning corridor leading to the anti-mass spectrophotometer, and he finds a deceased Lio and injured Mochi lying near a fire and wrecked room. From Mochi's testimony, Amigo believes a resonance cascade has occured. Kash is in a corridor when he sees a lone Epsilon-11 unit, and he is shot by Kash and killed instantly. Besides the unit, a dismembered female D-Class unit is lying deceased against the wall. Suddenly, Kash's lantern turns off, and SCP-280 strangles Kash.
On the surface, MTF units enable the backup generators for the site, leading to SCP-280 dematerializing and ceasing its' attack on Kash. Kash finds the dead MTF unit and takes his rifle, then ventures into the Heavy Containment Zone (HCZ) with a machete.
Surface Tension
Before even turning a corner after entering, he finds a destroyed shaft leading right into a ravine leading outside. He ventures into the ravine carefully, crossing small puddles at the bottom, until a RSCP-102-1-MTF infected instance arises from the puddle, attacking Kash. Kash ventures a flight of stairs after killing it, and runs into more of them. One instance is carrying a MANPADS launcher, which Kash then acquires, and uses against an MTF-manned Apache attack helicopter.
The helicopter explodes, and another one shoots a missile at Kash, which misses him and destroys the staircase behind him. Kash then makes it to a small snow plain, where he is pinned down by 2 MTF units. He shoots a rocket at one and kills them instantly, and the second one perfectly shoots Kash in the face.
It then cuts to a "monologue", where Kash states "I don't want to die.. I need to help my colleagues escape...", and then an unknown voice in a green caption replies "Okay", implied to be the "dream man" from earlier.
Kash awakens in Medical Lab 02 of the Site-14 Entrance Zone. A RSCP-102-1-MTF infected instance is walking towards the room, with the infected individual underneath screaming for help. Kash, still having his weapons, shoots it to death. He runs out of the room, seeing a female researcher being strangled by an alien creature from a vent. He shoots it with his rifle and the researcher says that the only way to end the resonance cascade is to launch a small thermonuclear device from a nearby control room, which should travel through the many portals and destroy the world on the other side. Kash finds an elevator, then launches the nuclear missile.
(This is where Half-Blox ended, there was obviously going to be like 4x more, but as you all know, production stopped.)
Production
Half-Blox used original ideas for the overall setting and details, and was inspired heavily from SCP:CB and Half Life. Following the release of the second teaser trailer, the film was reportedly also inspired by The Black Mesa Incident Archival Footage NBC reconstruction. The second teaser featured a news broadcast covering the Site 14 incident through the perspective of the Robloxian public, and attempted to showcase the political and social side of the incident, trying to contrast the lack of information to the truth of the incident that the public was unaware of. The film is an updated version of an earlier cancelled film. Half-Blox, which was originally titled as R:SCP Containment Breach was first announced in a public post, released on May 21, 2023 by Amigo.[1] According to a statement made public on July 30, 2023, the movie would featured standard SCPS as opposed to a new one with the feature being canon to the RSCP.[2] The film as of 2026 was 290 frames long.
It was also stated that the story of the October 31, 2021 breach incident and the November 1999 breach, both of them were fictional articles created on Robloxia Disasters Wiki was stated to be the main subject of the film, which also have half-life themes. For the RSCP creatures, Amigo revealed that SCP-102 will be added into the film. In March 2024, following the release of the second trailer, the film's title was changed to Half-Blox as Amigo stated that the title "fits the plot better". The film's animation style appears only in frame because the shots were taken in Roblox Studio, where Cineblox Productions creates all of its films.
Release
The teaser trailer for Half-Box, at the time titled as RSCP Containment Breach was officially released on July 12, 2023 on Youtube by CineBlox Productions at around 5:00 p.m. EST.[3] In addition to introducing the character Lio, the teaser showed a green laser being fired before it exploded at the conclusion. A second teaser trailer was uploaded on Amigo's Youtube channel on October 15, 2023. A second trailer was released on March 12, 2024, showcasing a "an in-universe news clip discussing the incident that will take place in the movie".[4] Half-Blox was delayed several times; the release date was first listed as likely to occur in October or November of 2023, but it was then changed to February or March and later on to "estimated", before setting the May 16, 2024 release date. There currently is no definite release date or estimation of release because Amigo has stopped working on the movie as it is planned to be over 600-700 frames long, comic films were phased out from Cineblox, and previously mentioned reasons. (like burnout and lack of interest)
Information from director
The person writing this header is the director of the film. You can check the history to validate this. The film will take place in an SCP facility and have the style of Black Mesa from the Half Life universe. There is a scene where a rocket is launched into space to direct a satellite so the rift between Earth and the alien dimension is "closed". This fails and the main character must traverse in a boat across a frozen valley while fighting flying aliens and apache helicopters, then he arrives to the main gate. He must get past the heavily armed and guarded main gate to get into the office complex, then into the top secret lab where a portal to the alien dimension is created. It was found out (not spoiling) that the rocket failed and that something else was keeping the rift open, and it had to be stopped up close, inside the alien dimension.
