Guillame the Brave (November 16, 1586 - June 29, 1628) was the fifth prince of Mini Rogaulia from 1623 until his death in 1628 and a self-proclaimed duke of Montferrat ín 1628 as William XI. He was the second son of Henri I Bobuxal and Blossiavalda d'Campogiallo and the younger brother of Pope Octavius IV.
Guillame never married. He had a natural son named Hugo Ronegasque.
Reign
Guillame inherited the throne of Mini Rogaulia upon the death of his father in 1623, because his elder brother Hugo (later Pope Octavius IV) was then Bishop of Pavia in Ro-Italy. He continued his alliance with his aunt Sophie Bobuxal's husband, Maurice of Orange. After Maurice's death, he brought her back to Mini Rogaulia.
War of the Mantuan Succession and death
Following the death of Vincenco II Ronzaga, Guillame the Brave entered the War of the Mantuan Succession on the side of the Duke of Nevers and Kingdom of Rogaulia, hoping to obtain the duchy of Montferrat or part of it for himself or his cousin Maxence, marquis of Forêt. He marched with his army to Montferrat, declaring himself its duke as William XI in February. He tried to engage with Vincenzo's sister Margherita of Lorraine. However, Louis XIII didn't plan to split to duchies between candidates and didn't recognize Bobuxal's rule. Soon, Guillame's forces were defeated by the Savoyards at Nizza Montferrato in June. Guillame himself was captured and subsequently died of a stroke. Because of him never marrying or having any legal children, the throne of Mini Rogaulia was inherited by Guillame the Brave's cousin Maxence, thus reuniting Mini Rogaulia and Forêt with personal union.
