Green Zombs is a soundtrack album composed for the 2015 film Zombs Incoming. However, the album was recorded throughout late 2014. The album consists of original music with the purpose of backing the film and was released independently several days after the film’s release. The soundtrack was used across numerous parts of the film, which includes opening scenes, action sequences, quieter moments, and the closing credits, along with other albums. Green Zombs is regarded as the most notable album out of all which were used for the film. All the albums including Green Zombs were composed by Elliot Harrow. Most of the tracks were written to support the mood of each scene rather than stand alone as individual songs. As a result, the music often plays in the background and follows the pacing of the film closely.
The music featured on Green Zombs makes use of electronic sounds, slow-building rhythms, and ambient layers. Several tracks rely on repeating patterns that continue for extended periods, which helps create tension and maintain a consistent atmosphere throughout the film. Some compositions are more intense and were used during chase or conflict scenes, while others are quieter and were placed during scenes focused on characters or aftermath events. The soundtrack avoids traditional melodies in many places and instead focuses on tone and texture. This approach was intended to reflect the film’s setting and themes, particularly the sense of uncertainty and isolation present in the story. Following release, the album received modest attention from viewers of the film and soundtrack listeners, and the general public.
