Fraserville is a city located near the Viletonville Mountains and the Kenz Fraser River. It is the main offical city of the municipality of Kenz Fraser. It is known for the two highways crossing it: BA-19 and BA-63.

History

It was made from a settlement called Fort Viletonville (its west of Fraserville in the other side of the Kenz Fraser River and is also a town now) after settlers wanted to move to the other side of the river. Boats were the main transport at the time until 1908.

During that time, a bridge was added to extend Gravel Road 19 (now HWY 19) to Bloxaskatchewan. The settlers then named the settlement area: St. Abasand, named from the old mayor Abasand Lakeim from Viletonville.

It was confirmed to build a post office beside the river (near a supply shop) just north of the village.

It was incorpirated as a town in 1930 after the mayor decided to change St Abasand into Fraserville (names). The Clairston Railway crossed this area and made a water tower and the grain for the trains. The workers then built a new railway at 10th St and 11th Avenue from the railway towards the Egbert Mountains which was called Fraserville Railway and was a railway line connected to the nearby Bloxanadian Telamon Railway.

Fraserville then got the rank of counciling Improvement District No. 18/189.(now Kenz Fraser Municipality). Population increased in the 1960s after hospital was added.
