Project Urban Slicer

Project Urban Slicer, Codename: Toaster Transit, or jokingly referred among the higher GFAH higher-ups as "Operation: AndroidTrain", was the designation given to a series of automated Protogen bullet trains that transported goods and services across GFA sites.

History

Dr Sierra Tango originally ordered the Urban Slicers to be completed in 2013, but was delayed due to ongoing conflicts with the AFC. It was then delayed until 2019. AndroidTan then confirmed that the first operational model would be completed in 2022. On September 4th, 2022, Urban Slicer monorails replaced both civilian and GFA transit routes in Robloxia, Hokanda, and parts of Eurobloxia.

Operation

Urban Slicer monorails operate via electrically shared power on overhead power grids, or use solar-electric power as a backup source. Advanced ultrasonic sensors, thermal cameras, infrared spectrum ocular devices, and a basic AI computer linked to GFA sites control the train. In the case of a rogue AI or server crash, a manual-operational cabin can be quickly swapped out in place of the robotics suite.

The Urban Slicers require two train engineers; both will station at the operational cabin.

  • One will be stationed at the control panel of the train should the requirements of manually controlling the train and assist in controlling the train to guide it to the nearest GFA-controlled station.
  • Another will be stationed at the server controls in case a data-related issue arise.

Incidents

While an Urban Slicer has a good record for safety, there have been a few incidents.

One incident was in 2025, when a manual-controlled Urban Slicer route in the Tovokian city of Romsk was hijacked by a group of people known as "gopniks" would board the train while it was undergoing a repair to it's snowplough attachment, it was revealed that one of the cargo carts contained several Tan Industries AK-15M rifles, despite efforts to remotely disable the train, the Urban Slicer, registered as TV-9907-NGO-TAN was deemed untraceably lost; which prompted Tan Industries' Leaders to detonate the train remotely 3 hours later, via installed C4's under the driver's cabin.

The train detonated wreckage was found in the middle of an Abandoned Route from Romsk to Jekal, only signs of 2 hijackers on board, suggesting two died or two were left behind before it's detonation.

The Train Conductor and Engineer was found without any injuries by Tan Industries' Tactical Operations Unit before wreckage was found.

Urban Slicer Series

Passenger

9900A Series

The 9900A Series was the first Urban Slicer series of Passenger Monorail, include:

  • Private Office Cabins: A Set of Private Offices is installed in the first four sets of cars.
  • First Class Exclusive Quarters: First Class Exclusive Sleeping Quarters is installed in every passenger cabin.
  • The Lankstrom Bar: A Bloxian Bar that is manned by Tan Industries' VENEER Servobot and a team of K-Buddy.
  • Security Command Center: A Two-Car Security Center is pre-installed near the driver's cabin.

9900B Series

The 9900B Series was the upgrade of the 9900A Series, upgrades include:

  • Secured Weapons Cabinet: In the Security Center, all weapons rack was upgraded to ensure no weapons would be stolen.
  • Emergency Panic Button: In every cabin, an emergency panic button has been upgraded to alert the nearest security android instead of a Security Team.
  • Security Androids: A set of Security Androids was set to be on Standby at the Security Command Center; when alerted, they will be deployed into a team. Armed with Tasers and only allowed to be armed with lethal firearms (pistols) if hostile trespassers are detected within.

Cargo

9900D Series

The 9900D Series was a recent upgrade from the previous 9900C Series, upgrades include:

  • Turrets: 2 VX-9 Turrets mounted and is disarmed unless hostiles trespassers are detected, which result into it opening fire on said trespasser.
  • Keycard Access: requires an access card to activate controls to the trail; card is not replicatable and all Bio-ID Data inside will be immediately moved to a TI-Server where it would be under Lock and Key with a Titanium Padlock. Also requires Biometric Access to register driver and engineer.
  • 7G Satellite Tracking: all trains in this series were installed with tracking chips implanted within the train. Unable to be removed and tracking is under strict observation by Tan Industries' T.M Tactical Operations Unit.
  • Upgraded Panic Alarms: if train were to be hijacked without the driver or the engineer within, an alarm will alert T.M Tactical Operations Unit for it to be intercepted.
  • Disabling Detonation Charges: if train were required to be disabled without the need of exploding said train, a Disabling Charge is planted into the main driving system; if detonated, would render the train inoperable and alerts TM' Tactical Operations Units

9900E Series (Given to Monika Corp)

Concepts for the new "E-Class" were gifted to Monika Corporation after the Global Innovation Convention 2025. The Monikan E-class is the most advanced of the models. Upgrades include:

  • Onboard point-defense arnaments: 2 MG-26 heavy machine guns are positioned on each side of every carriage, they are controlled by the train's navigation AI.
  • Integrated Supercomputer: The E-Class can hold up to 3TB worth of data including various routes and other classified pre-programmed machine learning prompts.
  • Stealth Coating: Monika's new HP-45 "Hush Puppy No.45" Stealth Coating solution, renders any Monika E-Class invisible to even the most advanced of radar systems, even if the coating is damaged, it can still managed to be untraceable. Current tests shows weakness at the Driver's Cabin.
  • Much like the "D-series" The E-Class has a hidden tracking chip under the frontal chassis, should any problem arise, a V-22M Osprey jet VTOL transport will be sent to intercept the train, with Elite Guardsmen boarding it and finding the intruder.

Country Registration Prefixes

In some countries, Urban Slicer railways are controlled by the governments transportation administration, a typical registration will have the nation's initials next to the number which denotes the which Urban Slicer model is in use: An example would be Hokanda, in which a random registry would look like: HK-9900A. Non-government entities and private companies have a "NGO" then their companies initials.
