David Baszucki Explains How He Ruled Robloxia is a copypasta whose text was made on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, 10:25:34 PM Telamon Sea Time on the Ro Reddit social media, but the video was made presumably earlier, by Ronnie Ginger. It claims that David Baszucki caused the 1989 Phillips accident and how he managed to become the President of Robloxia. However, Ronnie Ginger later got terminated by Bloxtube, but reuploads of the video existed.
The Copypasta
Hi. My name is Dave, the President of Robloxia. My story begins in 1989, with the most awful incident of my life.
I was working at my father's construction company operating a crane, lifting large storage containers at an industrial complex in Bloxas. I was an excellent worker, until one day I lost control of a big red container filled with anvils and construction steel. I watched helplessly from my control room as 20 tons of metal slammed into a chemical depot, killing 23 employees in a series of resulting explosions. The fireball was so gigantic, passing cars slammed into each other, their drivers distracted from the chaos nearby. The incident went on to be known as the Phillips disaster of 1989, and although my father was able to cover up the incident as a gas leak, the guilt I faced was tremendous.
I moved on from that job, but from then on all I could feel was a robotic sense of emptiness. I only existed to cause pain, and I needed an outlet to utilize this purpose. Thus, I became the President of Robloxia. I established a cult following. I was the prophet of a growing country. I gifted my citizens with luxurious items, indulgences, anything they desired. I had it, and all they had to do was pay for it.
My followers would go wherever I ordered them to. As my country progressed, my following grew, and it grew, and it grew. Millions of young, impressionable minds were in my hands, and I molded them to worship me. Now I sit atop my throne as the god of an army.
And it all started with a big red box.
Robloxia. Powering Imagination.
The Debunking:
Despite the copypasta being satirical in tone, many Robloxians took the copypasta seriously, which eventually cumulated in an independent agency of fact checkers who did not understand the satirical nature of the copypasta to reveal that the explanation in the copypasta was demonstrably false, arguing that the disaster mentioned on the article, while it actually existed in Bloxas, did not have any evidence of a big red container being filled with anvils and construction steel being slammed into a construction depot, and that it could be possible that there was a more plausible cause. As a result and despite the presence of this debunking, the copypasta still gained popularity for those who appreciated its satirical tone.
