Republic of Nusia

The Republic of Nusia, also known as Great Noobia, is an island nation located 1,300 miles from Robloxia in the Bloxington Ocean. Made of over 98% ethnic Noobs, the nation is defined for its extreme nationalism, hostility to foreigners, and militaristic society.

Politics

Nusia follows an extremely cutthroat political system made primarily of two parties, the Modernists and the Traditionalists. Despite their differences vanity-wise, both parties are publicly and quietly funded by various powerful corporations within the Nusian sphere of culture.

Elections

Elections occur once every 4 years the 4th Monday of June. The elections do not happen in a traditional sense, with citizens casting their vote to an Oligarch who will then be backed by a corporation that will fund their campaign and presidency. The corporations will then send the CEO as a Prime Delegate and 15 selected people as Delegates who will act as advisors to the sitting President, ending all elections.

The 3rd Monday of June will have a primary vote for the Party's Head, usually decided by the person with the most funding. After all, votes are counted, corporations will speak with the selected head on issues such as policy and defense. After this, corporations may choose to enter a contract with the head, giving promises such as funding and influence. If the Party's Head or corporation chooses not to sign, they will be replaced by the highest bidder.

Laws Regarding Elections

Elections are highly regulated and controlled, with the ultimate power going to the Province where the voter resides. When an election occurs, states usually pass temporary laws that may benefit a certain party or corporation. During elections, it isn't uncommon to find security personnel guarding polling booths in high-traffic areas. Poling areas are sponsored by private funders or corporations who may choose to do whatever they may with the polls and polling area.

The Province has the ability to overturn or change the vote of citizens and is not legally required to count the votes at all. Hence, private funders or corporations often buy votes from the state to increase the chances of a favorable head-of-state winning.

President

The President, usually an elite of Nusia, has supreme power over the Nusian Defense and Offensive Forces, Nusian Defense Council, Courts, and Ministry of National Affairs.

Military

The Nubian Military is divided into two sections, Self-Defense and Offence, each of which has its command structure and logistics. The military stands at 98,000 Soldiers, 78% of the working-age population due to utterly deregulated conscription laws and a mandatory service of at least 8 years. Despite the size of the island, it retains fairly modern forces and often enters lucrative arms deals with companies like Rotenmorgka Arms.

History

Medieval

During the Middle Ages the Nusian State, with their expansion in the Telamonian trade, gained access to technology from around Roblox. Most significantly, the obsidian dagger and springs. This led to the creation of arguably the most influential Noob invention, the Aerorig. The quality of their arms and considerably cheaper production than other nations resulted in a majority of produced arms being sold. Despite this, the fear factor created by the Nusian industry made many states believe attacking Nusia was a suicidal task.

Semi-Modern

Pre-"Dummy" Invasion, the Nusian forces were centered around self-defense and terror prevention. The military utilized a strong ground-based force and naval force emphasizing on-the-ground operations with naval support. Pre-Invasion, funds from major arms manufacturers funneled into the nation, allowing Nusia to natively produce infantry weapons such as the Zealotasva I12, many of which are still in use today. During the interwar period, a focus was put on naval power and air support, utilizing Robloxian-made F-82 "Twin Mustang" in the roles of Fighter and Close-Air-Support.

Modern

In the modern day, Nusia retains a formidable army with a sizable navy and air force. The current doctrine remains to be focused on self-defense, however with an emphasis on attacking back after an invasion.

Society

Nusian society follows a hierarchical societal structure, with those descending from people with certain wealth and class being granted extreme privilege and influence, while those who aren't usually live in extreme poverty and are often conscripted into the military. In turn, it is expected the wealthy are to rule the underclasses well, with each class under theirs having varying levels of freedom and reasonability.

Work

Pure-blooded Noobs can expect to quickly gain access to high-paying jobs and benefits if sufficient ancestry is proved. As a Pure-blooded Noob, society expects that you are to work a hard and meaningful job, usually white-collar jobs, and receive a large payout in return. If your appearance is seen as attractive by Nusian standards you may expect to have higher pay or have a higher societal class than your family. Noobs who have a skill that directly benefits the government, military, or powerful corporations may also have the same standards held to them.

However, for the majority of Nusian society, there is a sentiment of "Minimum wage, minimum expectations," where it is expected by society to be diligent and happy with what you have, as those who risk climbing the ladder often end up dying of overwork and committing suicide. The people here usually work blue-collar jobs or in the military, where it isn't uncommon to be forced to work by your family or a higher-ranking person. The average Nusian working these jobs has a salary of roughly 300,000 Nolic/year, roughly equivalent to 50,000 Robux.

Race/Racism

Segregation and racism are very common in Nusian society. In polls conducted by the United Roblox Countries, 48% of Nusians outright stated they held prejudices against other races, while a further 23% stated they believe in Noob Superiority. However, results vary based on population density. In more dense areas foreign Noobs are often treated with hospitality, while other races may be banned from entering certain areas. This is in contrast to rural areas, where all foreigners are seen as hostile and may be denied entrance if not detained.

Being of a different race than Noob will result in things such as denial from entering areas or applying for jobs. Usually, non-noobs have the lowest priority in all aspects of society, however, multiple upper-class elites are Robloxian. It isn't unheard of for different races to be given higher bills at bars that they are allowed into and lower wages, assuming they can get a job. Many also aren't given as much rations as Noobs, even in the best cases.

Fashion

In Nusia, fashion is extremely classical and highly regarded. Being fashionable in Nusia has a multitude of benefits such as higher pay at work and possible racial exemptions from Noob Only areas, assuming the government deems them fit. It is also seen as a sign you are instantly being respectful to all around you, making proper dressing necessary if in the workplace. For most Nusians, their standards are seen as the highest forms of beauty.

For men, the societal expectation is to have a chiseled jawline, which is seen as the highest order of natural beauty. You are also expected to have deep and cutting eyes as well as a slim nose, having such is said to be a sign of being or having relation to a God, for men this would most likely be Ares. Men are also expected to wear a suit and tie in the colors black and white, as well as a bowler hat. While considered optional in most events, a heavy trench coat is seen as a sign of great power and strength. It is said that it is worn as people with great skills prefer to be humble by hiding their abilities.

Women in Nusia are very limited in what they may look like and wear. A woman must have a large chest and slim waist, or she will not be allowed to marry. Women are also expected to have long hair, usually, it is to be cut at the shoulders to show one is married. Women often wear corsets and large dresses decorated with jewels or other valuable items. Skincare options are limited, but women should use classical homemade products such as herbs to enhance the skin. Having extremely red lips is a sign of great beauty in Nusia, with many associating it with the goddess Hera.
