East Robloxity is a town (sometimes shown as on maps, and known by locals as a part of Robloxity) in the State of Telamon. It was originally a part of the city of Robloxity, but in 1898, due to the large furry community, the neighborhood ceded from the city and became its own village. The area, like much of the surrounding metropolitan area follows a grid, where the blocks become larger and more irregular the further one goes from Robloxity’s downtown. It has a population of 2,283.
History
The neighborhood of East Robloxity was first mentioned in the late 1810s as a small village built around an unnamed hot spring which was a popular destination for the locals. In 1854, the village slowly became abandoned and the land was purchased by the city of Robloxity and was laid out into a grid plan, with some of the first inhabitants moving in the next year.
The early 20th Century
According to a description from 1901, which describes how later on, Furries would populate the area; “The section of the city of Robloxity…called East Robloxity, is populated by almost exclusively Furries, who live in small houses mostly made of wood. This part of town… [is home to] Greater Robloxity’s largest communist of Furs… [if not] one of the largest in the country. Most of the residents are very poor, and few Robloxitans who do not live here, will set foot within this part of town.” Beginning after the 1910s, as Furries were prohibited from living within much of Robloxity’s neighborhoods, most of them settled here. Media coverage at that time did not acknowledge the furry race at all and decided to assume they were Robloxians. It was not until the 1980s when media coverage would start to distinguish between furry and Robloxian.
1916-1930s
When Roblox War I began, a tank factory was built where the current train station now stands, and it employed 300 people who lived in the surrounding area. It went bankrupt in 1920 and was demolished to make way for the double tracking of the Two Hills Branch where RRTC electric interurbans ran to the town of Two Hills. Through the 1920s, much of the buildings that currently stand today were constructed, and in 1926, the town received indoor plumbing for the first time. The East Robloxity train station was opened in 1928. The original train station building was moved to a new site in the nearby planned city of The Plaza, in 1955. The East Robloxity Furry House was constructed in 1932, on the far edge of town , outside of East Robloxity city limits, but that area is also generally considered to be a part of the East Robloxity area. The house was used as a school until 1956 when it became a private residence. The building stands today, and is three stories tall in an L shape with a full wraparound deck on the left side, plus two annexes built in the 1940s.
Post Roblox War II
After the war, much of the town begun to see another increase in residents, as the city of Robloxity begun aggressively evicting people from much of the central city Furry communities, so the displaced residents moved to East Robloxity. The town budget was reportedly 90 Robux, and in debt, around 1948. In 1955, interurban train service ceased, but in 1969, RART train service would begin operating at a new station. The town’s boundaries changed for the first time in over half a century, when parts of the Brentwood area became a part of the town.
1970-1990
In the 1970s, the town begun to experience a shift in population as Chestnut Hairs would move into the area, outpricing the existing Furry residents. At this point, the population was about 20% Bacons, and grew to around 61% today, as of the 2020 Robloxian Census. During this time, the community’s population growth led to the establishment of a RART train station in the area. With the amount of Chestnut hairs that moved to the area, tensions between the two groups increased, leading to a riot on the night of July 20, 1984. After that, the Furry community declined.
