Honey (Neo-Japanese: ハニー, Hani), originally known in Robloxia as Pretty Maxine and Friends is a Neo-Japanese doll line created in 1970 by Ro-Bandai, it is known for being similar to Barbie but for the Neo-Japanese market.
The brand has been exported to various countries, including Labublox, the Ro Philippines and Korbloxia.
History
Origins and first release
The brand was first created in 1970 by the Neo-Japanese manga artist, Goh Nageru and a employee of Ro-Bandai, Yuji Nakamura after seeing the success of Barbie in Neo-Japan, the first character to be released in the doll line was the character, "Honey Kisaragi" (blonde-haired version) on February 14th, 1973. Exportation into Robloxia
It was first exported in Robloxia by Robloxian Hasbro in 1977 with Ro-Bandai's permission under the name of Pretty Maxine and Friends (Pretty Maxine for short), which initially ran from 1977 until 1999, with 104 dolls exported into Robloxia.
The Pretty Maxine and Friends brand would go on a hiatus and eventually be discontinued in 2011 after Ro-Bandai’s deal with Robloxian Hasbro ended.

the franchise has received other forms of media, such as anime, video games and films, one of the most notable video games the franchise has is “Honey’s Detective Club” (Neo-Japanese: ハニーの探偵クラブ, Hanī no tantei kurabu), which was released in 1997.
