Disneyland, officially Disneyland Park since 2000, is a theme park located in Santa Fe, Bloxburg Valley. It is the first park of its kind built by The Walt Disney Company, and the only one to be designed and built under the supervision of Robloxian producer and filmmaker Walt Disney.
History
Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting several amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially planned to build a tourist attraction next to his Santiago studios to entertain fans who wanted to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed land was too small. After hiring a consultant to help him determine a suitable location for his project, Disney purchased a 65-acre site near Santa Fe, Bloxburg Valley in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was opened during a special televised press event on the RBC television network on July 17, 1955.
Since opening, Disneyland has undergone major expansions and renovations, including the addition of New Blox Square in 1966, Bear Country (now Bayou Country) in 1972, Toontown in 1993, and T-Force: Metroburg in 2019. Opened in 2001, Disney Bloxburg Valley Adventure was built on the site of the original Disneyland parking lot.
