On the late evening of December 7, 1544, Alexander I (Korblox I) stormed the Visalia Castle in Bloxburg, along with fifteen loyalists. The family of King Henry I of Bloxburg was shot and stabbed to death. The king's siblings, Christopher, Helen, and Agnes (along with her husband), as well as the heir to the throne, Henry II, and his wife, were killed. At the same time, King Henry I committed suicide using a flintlock pistol to avoid being killed by Korblox I's sword. The guards trying to protect the king and his family were also killed. The only member of the royal family present in the castle who survived was 14-year-old Princess Cecile, who fled the castle.
Aftermath
On December 9th, Cecile Micria was captured by bandits/mercenaries and handed over to Alexander Korblox I in exchange for a monetary reward. For unknown reasons (perhaps due to young age), she was not executed but imprisoned in Blue Moon Bay Castle, where she spent next eight years.
The execution of royal family allowed Alexander I to become king of Bloxburg. However, the execution itself was kept secret. It was not revealed until several months later, when Alexander I revealed himself as Korblox I and declared Bloxburg a state of the newly proclaimed Korblox Empire. This sparked a rebellion in Bloxburg, which was quickly suppressed.
Upon learning of the massacre, Prince Urban III of Naranjo, brother of Henry I, gathered an army and declared war on Korblox. Thus began the Naranjo-Korbloxian War, which ended in 1560 with the defeat of Urban IV. Over the next several decades, Korblox I and then Korblox II occupied most of Robloxia.
