Overview
San Guarino and it's Metropolitan Area currently has lower-than-average rates of violent crime when compared with other major U.S. cities, while property crimes, such as theft and burglary, are higher than the national average. However in areas like Southern Oakley & Some neighborhoods in San Guarino are prone to violent crime such as mass shootings, homicide, sexual assault and armed robberies.
Drug Problem
San Guarino and Oakley combined is also known to be a major hub for drug-trafficking, especially the crack-cocaine trade and the weed-marijuana trade. The city itself was one of the major points by which drugs are smuggled into the United States and the West Coast.
In the first month of 2024, the city had 86 people die of overdoses, more than in the first month of 2023. According to new data reported by the city's medical examiner. The city is on track to see more than 1000 deaths this year, topping its highest year ever, 2014, when it saw 600.

Episona-13th
The Episona-13th, Shortened as E-13 is a notoriously powerful Central American criminal organization mainly operating in Central America. They started operations in cities and prisons in the West Coast including San Guarino.
The E-13 also has a huge role with the drug trading & trafficking problem in Luceria. Members can be identified by having multiple tattoos and wearing white, black and blue gang clothing like bandanas, wrists, sports jerseys, etc.
Yakuza
The Japanese Yakuza are a very large and powerful Japanese criminal organization mainly operating in china that made operations in the US. Members are only seen in the New Tokyo.
The Yakuza do infact play a big role in the drug trading & trafficking problem and are rivals with the E-13th and the Crips.
Bloods and Crips
The Bloods and Crips, mainly originating in South Luceria are two very known large African-American street gangs that are mainly known for their rivalry against each other. Their turfs are found in South Oakley.
They play a minor role of the drug trading but play a large role in the homicide and robbery problem in Oakley and sometimes San Guarino.
Minor Gangs
SG Junkiez
SG Junkiez or simply "Junkiez" are a small orgy-addicted street gang mainly controlled by white and poor cocaine-addicted young adults. They are very weak, only using knives and bats as their main weapons. They rarely have firearms but are pistols most of the time.
Incidents
- 1998 San Guarino New Tokyo Massacre: A mass shooting and stabbing in New Tokyo caused by the Triads and the E-13. (Casualties: 15 dead, 9 injured)
- Murder of KJTRAPPY: Famous Crips rapper Kassan Jamali assassinated by a unidentified Bloods Gangbanger in northern Oakley.
