Christopher Zimmermann is a police officer for Sacramento County who killed Oliver Eeran who was known for the Bloxburg Valley Detective Murders.
Early Life
Christopher Zimmermann was born to Dutch immigrant parents Hendrik and Johanna in San Bernardo, Bloxburg Valley. Christopher was the oldest out of 3 boys.
His brothers Theodore and Levi are both EMTs as of currently.
Personal life
Zimmermann grew up in Bridestown and attended San Bernardo High School. Zimmermann was fluent in Dutch and English and as a teenager, temporarily worked as a translator for Dutch people at airports. At the age of 19 he moved out of his home and moved to an apartment in Sacramento. At the age of 25 he joined the Sacramento County Police Department.
Death of Oliver Eeran
In the night of November 13, 2013 Sacramento County Police got called to a parking garage in Sacramento, a person was armed in a parking lot, Zimmermann and 4 other police officers headed to the scene with a Glock 22, they found Eeran in his car with a desert eagle. Zimmermann tapped on his window and asked him multiple questions, Zimmermann asked Eeran to step out his vehicle but when he stepped out Eeran pointed his desert eagle and began firing, 3 bullets struck Zimmermann's bulletproof vest while 2 struck 2 other cops in the leg and chest. Zimmermann pulled out his Glock 22 and saw Eeran shoot at the cop car, most of the bullets attempting to hit Eeran hit the car he stole but when Eeran started running from a corner to get a shot at Zimmermann, Zimmermann shot Eeran in the forehead killing Eeran almost immediately. Zimmermann requested in his radio for an ambulance, Eeran was pronounced dead at the scene while the 2 injured cops were taken to Bay Area Medical Center where they recovered, Eeran's autopsy revealed that the bullet from the Glock hit his head going through his skull and stopping in the middle of his brainstem.
Aftermath
Zimmermann was deemed a hero and got a statue constructed for him in Downtown Sacramento. In 2014 Zimmermann was interviewed where he stated “I do not feel remorse for murderers, while I think they deserve help and therapy I won’t ever care if they die unless if they killed in self-defense but in this case it was not.” Eeran's mother spoke out and said “He was a mentally unstable child, while I loved him all my life the second he was born I will never support his actions, the police officer was just doing his job” while his father refused to speak on his son and sometimes even refused it was his biological son. Zimmermann is still in the department to this day.
