Carlton Galaxy when zoomed in
Carlton Galaxy is a galaxy that was first discovered on January 25, 2025, using the Blox Webb Space Telescope by International Cosmology and Science Research.[1] It is currently believed to be the farthest known galaxy from Roblox, located an estimated 44,999,842,000 light years away. The discovery of Carlton Galaxy has also attracted interest within the astronomical community, as it also provides new information into the early formation of galaxies in the universe. Given its extreme distance, the light observed from the galaxy is estimated to be nearly as old as the universe itself. Researchers have been analyzing the data captured from Carlton Galaxy to gain better understanding on its composition, structure, and its role in galactic evolution.
The discovery was made by a team of Robloxian astronomers from the International Cosmology and Science Research. The team was led by Dr. Alexander Carlton, after whom the galaxy was named, a prominent astronomer at the International Cosmology and Science Research. The Blox Webb Space Telescope, was designed and developed by multiple astronomers from the institution in 1997 and was named after Edwin Bloxxle. The telescope’s high-resolution infrared imaging allowed researchers to detect Carlton Galaxy’s emissions. This discovery has provided astronomers with better data that could help gain information on various theories relating to space.
A few observations suggest that Carlton Galaxy is a young, active galaxy, filled with vast amounts of high-energy radiation and rapid star formation. Astronomers believe that this galaxy is in its early developmental stage, forming new stars at an incredibly fast rate. Due to its immense distance, the light we are currently seeing from Carlton Galaxy is actually from around billions of years ago, meaning that its present state might be completely different from what is observed today. Studies indicate that the galaxy consists primarily of hydrogen and helium, with very few heavy elements, which is typical for galaxies formed shortly after the Big Bang. The discovery of Carlton Galaxy has led to numerous theoretical discussions regarding the expansion of the universe and the limits of observable space. Scientists have proposed that if galaxies as distant as Carlton exist, then there could be even older and more distant galaxies yet to be discovered.
