The International Cosmology and Science Research, also known as Roblox Cosmology and Science Research or the ICSR, is an independent worldwide agency responsible mainly for space research.
The ICSR was established in 1981, to give cosmology research to all parts of the world. ICSR has been manufacturing powerful telescopes and spacecraft such as the Bloxxle space telescope, Rossini, Blox Webb space telescope and the Traveller 1. The agency has also built multiple satellite and space stations all around the world.
The main goal of ICSR is to explore the Robloxian universe and beyond by looking for new galaxies, wormholes, blackholes, and whiteholes.
History
Establishment
The ICSR was founded on June 18, 1981. The agency started experimenting with powerful telescopes in order to view the universe. Just around 2 years after its foundation date, it had managed to launch its first space shuttle into Roblox's orbit.
Space Probes
Traveller 1
The ICSR had begun creating Traveller 1 on April 17th, 1984. The Traveller 1 was launched with the intention of exploring the Blox System's outer regions and interstellar space, as well as to regularly transmit ultrasound signals to the ICSR research station in Bloxburg City.
The Traveller 1 was launched on January 5th, 1985, and has since made flybys of Bloxpiter, Sablox, Bloxinus, and Bloxto. It investigated the atmosphere, magnetic and gravitational fields, and the rings that encircled Bloxinus and Sablox. The moons of Blaxpiter were captured on camera multiple times by the spacecraft. The Traveller 1 had departed Bloxto's orbit on August 16, 1991, and had reached the Blox System's Roper belt, which had a large number of dwarf planets. The Traveller 1 has discovered a second extraterrestrial planet making a peculiar orbit around Bloxto here. Since then, scientists have started utilizing the most powerful telescopes to study the mysterious world. The spacecraft then left the Roort cloud of the Blox System, into interstellar space after 5 years of travelling.
On July 7th, 2017, the spacecraft had turned, as it prepared to take one final picture of Roblox. The picture was given the name "The pale blue dot" at the suggestion of an author and astronomer, Carl Bloxgan. Since then, Traveller 1 has been returned to its original orientation, and its cameras and engines have been switched off until further notice.
Rossini
On December 19th, 1994, ICSR launched Rossini in order to study planet Bloxpiter and all of its moons and was launched off the coast of Rio de Bloxeiro. It managed to exit Roblox's orbit around 5 hours after its launch and made close flybys of Veblox, Marblox, before reaching Bloxpiter.
Rossini entered Jupiter's orbit 6 years after its launch, and orbited Bloxpiter for 15 years and 7 days. Throughout its time orbiting Bloxpiter, it had managed to take close up pictures of the gas giant's moons such as Rotis, Bloxalthea, Bloxymede, Rorpo etc. It was also at this time where Rossini took the opportunity to study Bloxpiter's infamous Great Red Spot. It was also here where Rossini managed to discover Bloxpiter's thin layer of rings coming from dust coming off of Bloxrastea and Rotis. The mission eventually came to an end on 26th December 2015, at approximately 1:32pm GMT when Rossini was running low on power. It was then instructed to change its trajectory to Bloxpiter's upper atmosphere in order to prevent contamination on one of Bloxpiter's 79 moon and took a final image before burning up and crashing.
Interstellar-198B
Interstellar-198B, commonly referred to as "Interstellar" was launched on July 17th, 1996. Its main purpose was to give the scientific community more knowledge on black holes. It was equipped with an extremely powerful mirror in order to get an extremely good view of different phenomena in space.
Interstellar was also at the time, the fastest space probe ever made. It was able to go 15x the speed of the Roblox Space Station and managed to reach the Roper belt within 3 years and exit the Blox System into interstellar space within 6 years. Just like the Traveller 1, the space probe sent images and footage by sending ultralight signals to the ICSR facility in Rio De Bloxeiro. On 17th February 2004, the space probe sent an image to the ICSR facility a gamma ray burst coming from 103 light years away. Fortunately, the GRB was not headed anywhere near Roblox, which relieved scientists. On July 23rd, 2007, the space probe sent a footage to the ICSR facility, which consists of two neutron stars colliding together and creating a black hole. The gravitational waves of the neutron stars colliding were so powerful that it knocked the space probe out of its trajectory by almost half a light year and possibly destroying its signals. The space probe would remain silent until now. It is still unknown the possible location of Interstellar. Many scientists highly believe that the space probe has been consumed by the newly made black hole that formed due to the two neutron stars colliding.
Vikings 68
Vikings 68, or also known as "Vikings" was a space probe launched on 19th October 1998. The purpose of the space probe was to detect any possible form of life on Marblox.
On 27th February 1999, the space probe sent back a report that it had detected a large amount of hydrogen in Marblox's atmosphere, which meant the presence of ice lying somewhere on the planet's surface. The space probe has been orbiting Marblox until now, also researching Marblox's 2 small moons, Phoblox and Deiblox. It had also managed to find a significant amount of water on the planet's surface as well as vast deposits of bulk water ice near the surface of the equator. It is estimated that the space probe would continue its research before running out of power sometime in 2024.
Exos
Exos is a space probe that was launched on March 22nd, 2003. The purpose of Exos was to discover the possibility of any forms of life on other interstellar planets.
The space probe travelled across the Blox system and made flybys of Bloxpiter, Sablox and Bloxto before entering the Roper belt 6 years after its launch and exiting the Blox system 10 years after its launch. Just like Interstellar, Exos was equipped with ultra powerful mirrors to get close up views of planets in a star system's habitable zone and identify if it has an atmospheric layer, water and possibly even plant life. On June 27th, 2015, the space probe managed to locate an exoplanet that was located near the habitable zone in a star system. The space probe identified clouds in the planet's atmosphere, indicating an atmospheric layer to prevent radiation. It was also shown that the exoplanet had a green and cyan like surface. Scientists at ICSR started research and named the exoplanet "Keblox 22-B". The space probe managed to find 4 other exoplanets, all having similar features to "Keblox 22-B", leaving scientists to believe a very high chance of life on any of these exoplanets.
Telescopes
Bloxxle Space Telescope (BST)
The Bloxxle Space Telescope (BST) is an iconic space telescope named after astrologist, Edwin Bloxxle. It was launched into Roblox's orbit on 18th June 1997 to observe the so far observable universe and has since still been active. It features a 5m wide mirror to observe visible, ultraviolet and near-infrared regions of the electromagnetic spectrum. It has recorded the most detailed visible light images, which allow a deep view into our universe. Many observations made by the BST have determined the rate of expansion of the Robloxian universe. One of the many primary targets for BST was to study the properties of the intergalactic medium and the gaseous contents of other galaxies and measure distances to Cepheid variable stars more precisely than ever. Its measurements of Cepheid variable stars in the IDCS 1426 cluster estimate the age of the universe to be around 13.7 billion years old.
Other than that, the BST also managed to capture a wide number of black holes in nearby galaxies, as well as Bloxityreuise V, the black hole at the center of the Robloxxy way. BWT programs has also established how the masses of black holes in the center of galaxies and the properties of galaxies are related. BWT has also made other discoveries including proplyds in the Bloxon Nebula, hinting the presence of extrasolar planets orbiting sun like stars.
Blox Webb Space Telescope
The Blox Webb Space Telescope (BWST) is a telescope conducting infrared astronomy specially designed to observe the universe. The telescope was launched into Roblox's orbit on 20th April 2017. Unlike the Bloxxle Space Telescope, BWST is equipped with high-resolution and high-sensitivity instruments to view objects that are too old, distant or cannot be seen by the Bloxxle Space Telescope. The primary goals are to search for the first stars and galaxies that formed after the big bang, study galaxy formation, to understand the origins of life and to study the possibilities of how wormholes work and whether they could exist.
Other than that, the BWST has other goals, including to study more about quantum fluctuations, the cosmic microwave radiation and cosmic inflation which formed during the big bang. On 17th November 2018, the BWST managed to locate a wormhole. Many scientists originally believed it was a black hole due to the similarities of the shape between a black hole and a wormhole. However, scientists noticed that stars which were consumed by the "black hole" were ending up in other locations of space. Around 4 months after the discovery, the BWST managed to capture the wormhole ejecting a star out into a completely different part of spacetime. This same star was also captured by the BWST, when it was being consumed by a wormhole in a completely different cluster. Scientists eventually concluded this as a wormhole and research projects on more other possible wormholes were launched. Scientists at the ICSR also noticed how the wormhole was not closing from the effects of gravity, even after years. This hints towards the existence of exotic matter, which a type of matter with negative mass, possibly keeping the wormhole open and also hinting towards the existence of white holes. It had also managed to capture the largest black hole ever, Blox-618, even being larger than some galaxies.
Space Shuttles
Enterprise I
Enterprise 1 was the ICSR's first successful launch, being launched back on 2nd January 1983. It was a space shuttle orbiter, mainly used for launching other satellites and space probes. The Enterprise 1 was also the same space shuttle to launch the iconic Traveller 1, and the Bloxxle Space Telescope. It had stopped operating on 8th September 2010.
Rolumbia
Rolumbia was launched on 7th April 1989. It was a space shuttle orbiter, which was used to launch satellites and space probes. Its final mission on 1st December 2003, led to its destruction when a hole punctured through the wing, causing the plane to lose control and break up in the atmosphere.
Bloxeaver
Bloxeaver was launched in 17th, March 1990. It was a space shuttle orbiter used for spacewalk and assembly missions. It had stopped operating on July 1st, 2015.
Telamon
Telamon was launched on 29th July 1992. It was a space shuttle orbiter used to launch defense satellites and space probes. It was the same space shuttle which launched the Rossini, headed for Bloxpiter as well as Interstellar.
Enterprise II
Enterprise II is a space shuttle orbiter planned to be launched on 17th April 2024. It is supposedly used to replace the former Enterprise I. to go!
Project universal
Many scientists at ICSR facilities have started collaborating and researching what could possibly be beyond the Robloxian universe. Many Robloxians believe there is something beyond our universe after the discovery of a mysterious spot in the universe. In the mysterious spot, absolute zero is -69 Kelvins. It also has been called the cold spot due to the fact that absolute zero outside of the cold spot is relatively hotter here and outside of the cold spot, it is impossible to have temperatures below 0 Kelvins. Due to the fact there are two absolute zeroes in the Robloxian universe, there has been much proposal and discussion that the unit of Kelvin be split to Roblox Kelvin and Cold Kelvin. The cold spot has very limited number of stars and galaxies. It is theorized that the cold spot may have been formed due to a collision with a colder universe billions of years ago while expanding, and thus believe the cold spot is expanding. Many scientists also believe that the Robloxian universe is just one of the many universes that are linked together in the Mandelbrot Set Infinitiverse, a Mandelbrot Set where every copy of itself is a universe. It is unknown whether any of those theories are testable or even falsifable due to technologies in Robloxia relatively lacking the ability to find other universes.
Recently, a mysterious spot similar to the cold spot had been discovered near the planet of Worlorn. Many Robloxians believe that due to the newly discovered cold spot, Worlorn is able to reach temperatures that are below 0 degrees Kelvin. The newly mysterious spot seems to be more powerful than the previously discovered cold spot, as Worlorn is able to reach temperatures are that are below -69 degrees Kelvin.
Types of proposed multiverses
Single world universes
Scientists studying the multiverse have theorized that certain universes are older and bigger than another, and as they all expand, the more they collide into each other. When a larger universe collides with a smaller universe, the smaller universe loses some of its components to the larger universe but continues expanding at the same rate. However, if a bigger universe from all sides of the smaller universe collides at once, the small universe will start to decrease in size at light speed (cosmic deflation). When a universe starts to shrink, it would bring galaxies closer together and also make the galaxies increase in size faster. Eventually, the universe becomes too small that all galaxies eventually collide to form a super-massive galaxy.
Parallel universes
The parallel universe theory states that there are multiple universes in the multiverse, all expanding at the same rate. Everything that exists in the Robloxian universe would also be present in the parallel universe.
