At 07.03.2025, 08:34 Roeing 737-800 operated by Byanair vanished from radars over Skopelos. An hour later, a rescue operation was announced when airplane didn't come to thier destination. Flight RYR161M is a regular international flight from Larnacca (Cyprus) to Izolirani (Pilot Traning Archipelago)

At 08.03.2025 helicopter with volunteers found a part of fuselage near the Skopelos. It was delivered to RAIB office in Greater Rockford where it turned out that the fragment belongs to the crashed plane. But still, nothing more fragments were found.

On 07.03.2025, an accident occurred near the island of Skopelos with a Boeing 737-8AS aircraft operated by Byanair. As a result of the accident, all the 179 peoples on board were killed. Aircraft was completely destroyed by the impact on the water. The Interstate Aviation Committee has formed a commission to investigate the accident.

After 6 hours of crash, Byanair gave possible information about passangers and crew members, after that they expressed her condolences for families of missing peoples. There was also information about the famous singer "Kennie Mcblox", who was on this flight. The information was obtained from her Instablox. At this moment there an Search operation over Skopelos. Izolirani Airport will be closed untill 09.03.2025, many of volunteers pilots now are helping to search anything about this airplane. The operation is worsened by a rainy night, so its stopped untill next day.
