Im trying to make this an article which replicates Matthew's way of editing

Brick Bronze GO is a Mobile App made in 2016. The app is about catching Pokémon and battling Pokémon with AR controls. After the release of the game, Brick Bronze had a resurgence of popularity ever since 1997-2000.

History

In 2016, Game Developer Reantic partnered with The Brick Bronze Company to make Brick Bronze GO. Prior to the release, Roggle made an April Fools game about catching Pokémon around Roblox. Brick Bronze GO had limited features back then; the game had only the original 151 of Pokémon in the Dex. One could play on the Pokestops, which are locations that one can spin for PokeBalls, Potions, and more, and visit Gyms, where one can place Pokémon and battle them and also spin. Eggs were added in which one can hatch them for extra Pokémon. In Gyms, one could battle bosses to obtain rare Pokémon.

After the release, many Robloxians were hooked, walking around, battling in gyms. Even if one encountered a rare Pokémon in Brick Bronze GO, such as a Dragonite, people would swarm up to the place, where they would catch it. Many players were already filling the game's Dex and some already completed it.

The game won many awards for the Best Game Of 2016, and Reantic decided to make more Pokémon accessible due to the fact players have already beaten the premise of the game and they have nothing to do. Combined with the bans of Brick Bronze GO had already been banned in Arab countries and Luobu, the craze for Brick Bronze GO faded. To prevent the game from becoming dead, a buddy system was implemented, making players aware that they have to take care of their Pokémon by taking care of it, feeding it, and walking it. Until 2019, one could only get legendary Pokémon by filling out quests and collecting the reward to catch the Legendary Pokémon. Eventually, a player battle system was added.

In 2020, when the pandemic hit, Robloxians were unable to play Pokemon Go due to the lockdown. However, Reantic took note of this, and decided to implement temporary changes to key game mechanics in 2021. The Pokestop radar became more effective, Pokemon started to spawn more often, and Raid Passes became known as Remote Raid Passes. In 2021, Reantic reverted every game mechanics change due to the fact the lockdown has been abolished. During the Tovokian-Keviabloxia conflict that happened in in 2022 and still continuing to the present day, Brick Bronze GO was unplayable in the Tovokian Republic and New Rush-Bloxia (the game was not banned).

Criticism

  • Players in the game expressed their deepest outrage when Remote Raid Passes became more expensive, with some players threatening to quit the game entirely until Reantic reverts the price change.
  • Many players were spotted playing near memorials and grave sites.
  • A past criticism of the game was that players would not be warned if they tried to play Pokemon GO while driving. This was fixed.
  • Ro-Bosnia and Herzegovinan players would not be warned if they tried to play Pokemon GO outside of a city. This was fixed after landmine deaths skyrocketed in the country.
  • A Tovokian Agnostic man was arrested for playing Brick Bronze GO while in a church.
  • A 60-year-old Robloxian/Luobese man was shot dead while playing Brick Bronze GO.

Influence

  • In 2016, an inhabited island had its name replaced to "Bronze GO Island" after every single Robloxian registered in the island had Brick Bronze GO apps. In 2018, the island reverted back to its old name thanks to no importance in the name.
  • At the main Pokemon Anime, one character was introduced that was completely related to Brick Bronze GO, despite Brick Bronze GO outside of the universe.
