Blox City Center located in Blox City, Central Robloxia was a 4 Anchor, 2 Story mall which housed 130+ stores and a food court with 10 restaurants. Blox City Center had anchor department stores Baszucki's, Gears, Stacey's, and CJNickle before its closure in 2021.
History
Construction for Blox City Center began in March 1973 when anchor stores Baszucki's, Gears, McPierson's, and CJNickle signed on. The mall was completed in late 1975 and opened on February 7, 1976.
In 1985 a extension on the Second Floor included a new 10 Restaurant food court, The mall had a renovation in 1993 including new tiled floors. In 2005 anchor store McPierson's would convert into Stacey's.
Mall Decline
Blox City Center's decline began in the late 2000s when the first major anchor store Baszucki's closed in late 2009. CJNickle would convert into a Outlet Store in 2010 but would close just a year later. The mall was losing a lot of tenants and many national chains like Sunglass House, Robloxian Eagle Outfitters, Taco Blox, and New Blockers & Company all left. In 2015 Stacey's annouced that they would close the location at Blox City Center, it closed on May 31st, 2015 which would leave Gears as the only remaining anchor. By 2017 the mall only had around 25 inline tenants remaining mostly local busniesses. In 2018 Gears would close, which would leave Blox City Center with no remaining anchors. The mall's closure was annouced in Summer 2021, and the mall would finally close in September 2021 which just 3 Inline tenants which were Blaze's Shoes, Lather & Lotion Works and Uncle Danne's Pretzels.
Abandonment and Demolition
Shortly after the mall closed security patrolled the area but tresspassers would still get into the mall. The mall woild become a hazard due to vandalism. In 2023 the mall caught fire after a fire in the center court happened. The fire spread quickly and burned multiple areas of the mall, because of this the mall had to be demolished and now sits as a empty lot.
