Rumors about BloxTok:

The most popular rumor about BloxTok is that it is bad. Variants of this rumor exist. This is a list of all known variants:

  • Criticized by health organizations in Roblox for being a vector of slender disease.
  • Criticized by some countries as a Luobese Embargo Website.

So far, the rumors have been proven false. However, despite the falsity of the rumors, many Robloxian cults have formed, relying on dispersing those rumors as a way to make Robloxians dislike BloxTok.

Controversies:

Addiction problems

Bloxtok is criticized for its app being addictive. Since its creation, there have been cases in which Robloxian citizens do dangerous stunts in order to gain popularity in the platform. In 2021, Bloxtok added a system for Robloxians to take a rest on the app. However, this failed to stop the addiction, and many Robloxians still watch as much BloxTok as they did earlier. Today, Bloxtok is even more addicting as Bloxtoks filled with artificial intelligence (AI) generated content took over the platform.

Elon Crust vs BloxTok

In 2021, Elon Crust sued Bloxtok for being too addictive and insecure. The case is still ongoing.

Security

The app is insecure with rumors speculating that the company has sold the user's data to the government of People's Republic of Luobu. The company denied these cases. However, in June 2023, the app's security was questioned by mass media for the first time.

Racism

Since the app's inception, there are countless videos of Robloxians being racist to BloxAfrican-Robloxians, Bloxasians, and other Robloxians in general. However, in recent years, the company has taken action to stop these actions and started to ban certain communities and channels that were racist to Robloxians. Currently, the community is very small with no plan to rise to the top as it once was.

Robloxia Government vs BloxTok

In 2021, the Robloxia Government filed an investigation on BloxTok for "stealing data and selling it to the government". The company has denied this. However, after the "User Leak" incident in 2022, the United States of Robloxia government planned to ban BloxTok.

Poor Working Conditions

In late 2020, two workers blamed the Luobese company for its poor working conditions. One worker described the working conditions to be "hell". There was no lawsuit against the business despite the working conditions.
