The Block County Jail Shootout was a mass shooting and prison riot in Bloxas, Robloxia. The shootout occurred on June 18, 2020. The shootout resulted in 90 people being killed.

The shootout was orchestrated mainly by Vietblox War veteran Neighbor Tim, along with another Inmate named Blucified Roosevelt, who seemed to be his main accomplice; along with 3 other inmates, one being 80 years old, although the other 3 were all killed in the shootout.

The Shootout would be one of the largest mass casualty events in recent Robloxian history, and the second deadliest prison riot in Robloxian history. Following the shooting, the 4 year long manhunt for Roosevelt and Tim would end when Neighbor Tim was shot dead by a police officer and Blucified was presumed to be kidnapped by an unknown assailant.

Background

On May 16th, Neighbor Tim would be arrested in Bloxas, after having suffered a psychotic break and holding the staff of the Butcher shop he worked at hostage, believing that the URC was going to arrest him for his actions in the Vietblox War. After a brief stint in a mental hospital, Neighbor would be booked into the Block County Jail several days later on June 5th.

Prior the shooting, Neighbor and Blucified had a history of escape attempts. 5 days prior to the shooting, they had killed a guard with a gun Neighbor snuck into the Jail. The day after that they then broke into the prison armory and killed several guards, and on numerous occasions had simply stolen a keycard and attempted to make a run for it. On the day of the shooting, both Neighbor and Roosevelt were going to be moved to death row.

Shootout

At 7:33 PM, in the BCJ's maximum security cells, a guard was stabbed to death by an inmate with a shiv. The guard's gun was then used to kill another guard, who's keycard was then stolen and used to access the prison perimeter. A rope was then used to climb over the fence.

Five inmates would escape, including Neighbor and Blucified. The inmates would be gone for 1 hour and 32 minutes, before returning at 9:03 PM, armed with several weapons. Entering the lobby, the first contact with the prisoner's and the guards would occur a few minutes later as the inmates reached the entrance to the prison yard, encountering 2 guards. The escapee's would enter the yard itself later, killing a few more guards, before going back inside. They would then move into booking, killing a few guards, and then into the prison's parking lot, where they would enter into a firefight with several guards. The inmates would then move back into the yard, getting into another shootout with guards, and then attempted to break out several prisoner's, losing several of their own in the process and only breaking out one. By this point the escapee's had suffered several casualties and the only 2 escapee's left alive were Neighbor and Roosevelt. Neighbor would engage in a brief firefight with 2 guards in the medical wing. Roosevelt had been captured by the guards and put into solitary confinement, however Tim would free him, killing 3 guards in the process, and finally fled the prison.

As the escapee's ravaged the prison, inmates would also begin killing guards, beginning a riot in hopes of freeing themselves. As the Block County Jail was severely under guarded, whatever guards were not dealing with the escapee's would be overwhelmed, resulting in 27 of them being killed by rioter's. 31 rioter's would be killed in the process.

By 10:05, almost all of the staff had either been killed, or had fled the prison in fear, resulting in there being nothing to stop the inmates from getting out. 487 of the imprisoned 500 inmates would escape. 443 of these would be recaptured. The remaining 44 were never captured.

After it was all done, only 7 staff remained in the prison, with 30 having fled in the chaos. The police would only arrive at scene 30 minutes after it had already happened.

Aftermath

Immediately following the shootout, a state of emergency would be declared in Block County, and most of the Blockfield metropolitan area due to the large number of escaped inmates heading into the city.

Due to the loss of almost all staff, and most of its inmates, the Block County Jail shut down.

11 residents of Blockfield would become injured following encounters with escapees. 2 days later, with most escapees recaptured, due to the failure of the police to find any sign of either Neighbor Tim or Roosevelt, a 500,000 dollar reward would be put out for any information on the 2, beginning a years long nationwide manhunt.

While the government failed to find any information regarding Tim and Roosevelt, leading theories were that they had either fled the country, or went into hiding. Following the 2022 Highway 755 Shooting, a theory that Neighbor Tim was behind the attack began spreading on social media platforms, but was denied by the FBI, and later Neighbor Tim himself in his journal.

Sometime between 2020 and 2024, the Robloxian government decided to demolish Block County for violating the Robloxian constitution, but for what is unknown.

On May 24th, 2025, following an altercation between a police officer who had identified him, Neighbor Tim would be found dead resting on a tree a few miles away, having bled out from a gunshot wound.

Following investigations of his Bloxburg Valley home, a journal would be found, detailing his life after the shootout. Following the shootout, Tim had assumed the identity of "Robert Banks", and worked as a butcher.

While the status of Roosevelt is still unknown, Tim's journal cryptically stated that "they got him" without explaining who "they" was or what exactly happened, leading investigators to believe that Roosevelt had been kidnapped.
