Bird Island Airfield is an airfield in Neo-Japan located 2.5 nautical miles from Roghija Ro-Haneda International Airport and 3 miles from Roghija. The airfield serves flights to Roghija Ro-Haneda and to small villages called Xinyang Jong and Manjrekar along with a few charter flights to anywhere in Roblox. It is located in Bird Island.
History
Roblox War I and II
The airfield was constructed in a small island at Neo-Japan in 1910. It served as an airbase in Roblox War I and II.
1951
After Roblox War II, the airfield became open for commercial use. In other Neo-Japan wars, this airbase was still for commercial use.
2011
In 2011, a tsunami hit Bird Island, and all flights for three days were cancelled. Normal operations resumed after four days and the airfield was safe again.
Runways
The airport has one runway, Runway 05 on the south and Runway 15 on the north. Runway 05 is mainly used for takeoff while Runway 15 is used for both landing and takeoff. The runway is unpaved and is a grass runway. The runway is short and it can only handle aircrafts until an RTR-72.
