The Audit Chamber (Telamonian: Keenahale Hoomalu) is one of several advisory bodies in the Telamon Islands. It approves bills passed in Parliament. It can veto the bill, which then goes to the Consultative Chamber for consideration. If it fails to veto the bill, it goes to the president's desk. The Audit Chamber's veto can be overridden in Parliament with a four-fifths majority. This body consists of 40 members who consult on bills. Members must be over 36 years of age and hold advanced academic degrees. As with other advisory chambers, they must have no political affiliations and must have an impeccable reputation. They are usually affiliated with universities. The Audit Chamber's term is four years, after which new elections are held. Candidates are nominated by Parliament and various state or academic institutions.
