Arex Communications are a Bloxburgian provider of PA-VA (Public Adress and Voice Alarm) systems. They famously installed a system at Lexington Towers. Their systems use IP to enable/disable certain devices, and are considered the most advanced on the market. They are cheap for what they offer, but still expensive. It allegedly costed Lexington Towers €21 million to fit the PA system. They use IP to disable certain speakers, and they can control which individual microphones broadcast from which individual speakers. They partnered with the Lexington Investments Association to provide PAVA systems for multiple buildings, by the LIA. They fix concurrent intercom systems without replacing them. They are one of the most honest companies known, as they prefer to do what is only needed and only customer request. they have $12 billion in total market cap as of 2026.

Fire Alarm Systems

The VA side of the system are very open protocol, as any Evacuation Alert System or Fire Alarm Control Panel can be linked to it. It supports fire panel control eg. needing the fire alarm panel to authorise certain commands. All PAVA systems have a default fire tone, which is actually used in buildings in other universes as well.

Amplifiers

Their amplifiers are super sophisticated. Certain Systems use Internet Protocol to control individual speakers eg. Lower volume, enable, disable. Each amplifier can support up to 100 speakers, depending on the system. Lexington Towers used the largest server Arex Com can provide, giving them the capacity to install 500,000 speakers in their building if need be.

Models

Arex Communications have released a variety of models, for small, simple venues to being able to fit in buildings twice the size of Lexington Towers.

Model Release Features Demand
Arex PAVA Ultra 2 October 2025 Advanced IP control, fire alarm integration, can have over 500 amplifiers on its largest central server(Arex Ultra 2 K500) and each amplifier can support around 100 speakers each, boosting possible speaker numbers to over 500,000. This technology is rather cheap to fit for what it offers, costing around $0.42 per square foot to fit the system. High, installed in Lexington Towers
Arex PAVA Ultra 1 July 2024 Ultra 1 is a large building scale intercom system, and can be integrated with fire alarms. It does not have the same degree of IP control as the Ultra 2. It can support around 75 speakers an amplifier and supports 150 amplifiers. Low, as most projects use smaller systems or need larger systems.
Arex PA-VA Extracom 2 October 2023 Extracom 2 is a medium-scale intercom system, and can be integrated with the fire alarm, but only supports certain systems unlike newer systems which support any. It is the first PAVA system to use IP control, which can only enable/disable specific speakers and control what microphones broadcast where. It supports 50 amplifiers and 60 speakers an amplifier on its largest server.
Arex PA-VA Extracom 1 August 2023 Extracom 1 is a small system, and can still be integrated with fire alarm systems but not EAS systems. It does not have any IP control, and supports 25 speakers and 25 amplifiers.
Arex VA Fireinstructor January 2023 Fireinstructor is a voice alarm system strictly for fire use only. It supports 30 speakers per 25 amplifiers. Most systems are used anyway for normal announcements.
Arexsound MIXSOUND December 2022 MIXSOUND is a PA only system designed for large venues. It supports 5 speakers per 10 amplifiers.
Arex Normalalarm January 2021 Normalalarm is a large scale PAVA system, which supports 50 speakers per 50 amplifers. Note that this is large scale for the time, Arex would now consider this "Medium" scale
Arex Internalcom December 2020 Internalcom is a super large scale PAVA system, but it is smaller than the Ultra systems. It supports normal PA announcements and fire alarms, as most systems except MIXSOUND do. It supports 65 speakers on 100 amplifiers but with no IP control. Arex Communications had considered discontinuing this system, but the company refused the request. While LIA had repaired the intercom at Hurceles Middle School, Internalcom amplifiers were used to add extra speakers, due to their compatibility with all other systems.
Arex Calmene August 2020 Calmene is a small scale PAVA system, supporting 20 amplifiers with 5 speakers on each one. It is very inversatibile considered to modern standards and is set for discontinuation in January 2027.

It's important to know that all systems produced before 2020 had been discontinued due to "inadequate standards" This is likely due to Arex's innovation.

Rebrand

Arex Communications are soon rebranding to "Arex PAVA" in August 2027. They planned this rebrand from March 2024, and approved it in February 2026. They plan to install an Extracom 2 system in one of LIA's under construction builds, which will be similar in nature to modern Lexington Towers but only have 8 floors.

An Arex Internalcom is set to be installed in a now-recovered abandoned school purchased by LIA's educational subsidary. It is set to be installed in August 2026.
