Adam Richard Smith (born August 28, 1980) is a Robloxian politician who served as the 43rd mayor of Davidson, Wisconsin. Smith is known for being a major figure in politics and was regarded as one of the “saviors” of the city. During his leadership, he had helped in many infrastructure projects attempting to improve the city. After winning the 2017 Davidson City mayoral election, succeeding Eric Miller, Smith had tried improving the city after several riots and protests during the previous years.
Born and raised in Davidson, Smith developed a strong interest in helping the community from a young age. After winning the city elections in 2017, the city was still recovering from many riots and protests and Smith had helped in the city's recovery. Throughout the subsequent years, Smith became a prominent and significant figure in politics after helping in the city's development and infrastructure. In 2022, Smith also helped in controlling rush hours by announcing free travel early in the morning.
Early Life and Education
Adam Richard Smith was born on August 28, 1980, in Davidson, Wisconsin, into a working-class family. His father, Richard Smith, was a mechanic who ran a small auto repair shop, while his mother, Elaine Smith, worked as a schoolteacher at a nearby preschool. As Smith grew up at Davidson, he was also well connected with the community. During his childhood, Smith was quite interested in history, politics and other community related things.
During his mid childhood years, Smith attended Davidson Elementary School, where he often got good marks. In high school, Smith’s interest in politics and history sparked. He attended Davidson High School, where he was a member of the debate team and student council. He often participated in certain debates and competitions related to politics. He later attended Bloxburg State University.
Political Career
After graduating from university in 2001, Adam Richard Smith returned to Davidson with a strong desire to make a difference in the city. He began his political career by joining the Davidson City Council as an aide where he worked with other council members. His work that time involved supporting infrastructure projects, enforcing rules and regulations, and helping in particular neighborhood projects. In 2005, Smith ran for a seat on the Davidson City Council. At the age of 25, he was one of the youngest council members of the city.
In 2010, Smith later got the role as a deputy mayor of Davidson, serving under mayor Jack Jones, and then under Eric Miller in 2015. In this role, he was tasked with overseeing important departments, including public works, housing, and urban development. As a deputy mayor, Smith later helped in enforcing rules and improving housing as under Eric Miller's campaign. During his role as deputy mayor, Smith also tried stopping the intense situations during the mid 2010s. Protests over unequal rules, strict rules and abuse of power, was spread during Eric Miller's leadership. However, Smith failed to stop the riots and protests. In April 2016, Smith advised Miller on reducing the strictness of the rules but was rejected and Miller became more aggressive. A month later, Smith on stage stated, "Davidson is ruined.". When Miller was impeached in July 2017, Smith was immediately given the role of mayor without an election due to public approval. In the 2021 Davidson City mayoral election, Adam Smith did not desire to get re-elected, hence did not apply for candidacy.
