A Day To Remember is a 40 minute film released by Ro Ward Bloxer. It is based on the sinking of the SS Newhaven. It was released in 1958.
Plot
It starts off with a title card stating 'SS. Newhaven. SEPT. 29, 1923.' as it steams on its full speed on the Bloxington Ocean. It cuts to the bow of the ship as Cole Bennett checks IDs, one of these passengers being our fictional main character: Ethan Faith. The camera moves over to the wheelhouse as BL Smith and Sam Clutter speak over speed, Sam saying that speed is efficient. It cuts to the engine room as Murtaza and Murblox work on engines. The roaring noise of engines and machines in the background. It cuts to a first-class room with Rose Dewitt Bloxater in her room working on a book called 'The Movement of Eurobloxia'. She looks up to see Jack Blawton enter her room. Jack tells her dinner is starting at 2:00PM. As the camera glides over another cabin, in that cabin BoBuck Man 2nd is trying on different suits as the camera glides over his cabin. It reaches the first class dining room where Cole Bennett was handing out menu cards to Jhon Roblox Astor 7th and his son Bob Astor. The camera cuts to the propellers spinning as the camera moves to show the SS Newhaven move out of dock from the small town of Port Angus in Bloxia Kingdom, headed for Davenport. A few hours later, the ship arrives at its first stopover, Cherbourg, in Rogaulia.
Sinking scenes
The movie recreates everything that happened in the Newhaven on its sinking time. It also shows the Romarkian submarine U-47, which torpedoed Newhaven, and the RMS Belfast, which rescued the survivors. The last two parts is the RMS Harmony raising the two lifeboats in the ocean not raised by the RMS Belfast, and the wreck of the Newhaven.
