The 79th Primetime Bloxy Awards were held on September 30, 2013, at the La Brea Palace in Downtown Bloxburg City, Bloxburg Valley. RBC televised the ceremony inside Robloxia. AwesomeAlexK presented the Primetime Bloxy's for the second time.
It was also the first edition of the Bloxy Awards since their reform. It was held during the 2013 BLOXCon event. This Hall of Fame spanned four BLOXCons (Ro London, New Blockers City, Bloxhicago, and Bloxburg) and had over 20 awards.
The first part was a part of the Robloxia Film Festival, where Robloxians submitted videos that fell into one of five categories:
- Bloxhicago/Ro London/New Blockers City (2 minutes max): Represent Bloxhicago, Central Robloxia; Ro London, Bloxia Kingdom; or New Blockers City, New Bloxia.
- Short Film/Machinima (3 minutes max): Original short story – drama, action, comedy, etc. – built with Robloxia machinima.
- Trailer (90 seconds max): Create a trailer for a game, movie or television series – real or totally fictitious.
- Commercial (30 seconds max): Create the ultimate commercial, highlighting Robloxia's stimulus program or the limitless possibilities of Robloxia.
- Building/physics showcases (1 minute max): Footage of yourself building something awesome – a place or physics contraption (e.g., Rube Goldberg machine) – and speed the footage way up to show the whole process.
After the videos were submitted, Robloxians had a week-long voting period to vote for the nominees of each video category. Robloxia federal government employees then announced the nominees for each BLOXCon, meaning that each BLOXCon would have a winner for each video category.
The second part of the Bloxy awards was a Hall of Fame where Robloxia federal government employees gave awards to Robloxian builders. Like with the Robloxia Film Festival, Robloxians had the opportunity to vote for the winners.
