The Verdansk International Airport Terrorist Attack was a terrorist attack and mass shooting perpetrated on August 12th, 2028 at the Verdansk International Airport by five mercenaries from the Furry Peace and Justice Corporation.
Prelude

After completing a corporate trip in Romarkia: AndroidTan, Henrich, Mezhea, Sekcov, Dekli and Zakem arrived to Verdank International Airport to board a flight bound to the Bloxia Kingdom with intentions of returning back to take a week's leave.
Around the same time, a team of five mercenaries and their commander from the Furry Peace and Justice Corporation arrived at Verdansk International Airport's underground car parking lot after tracing an Anti-Furry off-duty team at Verdansk International to board a flight, as they armed up their weapons and entering the elevator to begin the assault.
The Massacre

Upon entering the terminal, the mercenaries opened fire on dumbfounded civilians at a security checkpoint, killing all of them as they tried to flee through the crowded choke point of the metal detectors. Mercenaries then moved methodically throughout terminal 1 and terminal 2, firing scores of rounds at the fleeing civilians and the airport security officers within it as they search for their target. Many officers valiantly attempted to engage the terrorists, only to be outgunned and mowed down owing to their inferior firepower.

Zakem: "Don't always focus on him Heinrich, we got new clothing, souvenirs, and even some snacks from our Romarkian counterpart."
Mezhea: "Well lets hope we return home soon as possible, some winter storms will arrive at Verdansk in soon-"
Sekov: "Guys, we got problem."

–Dialogue before the massacre | |||
After managing to escape the transit area and noticing the mercenaries, Henrich, Sekov, and Zakem fled to an underground carpark with AndroidTan, Mezeha, and Dekli whom were caught in a crossfire with the mercenaries where they manage to patch AndroidTan, Mezeha and Dekli up using the airport medical kit and then finding the mercenaries' car and stole the armor plating and arm themselves with Walther P8, P5, and a discarded airport operator's P30, before they arrived to terminal 2 to find a safe place to hold out and survive. Though due to the range of firearms that can be used without self-incriminating themselves; they only manage to survive until the mercenaries cornered them near the Terminal 2 Lounge Area. As the mercenaries manage to locate AndroidTan and his team before attempting to execute them, but was interrupted by a squad of airport police officers ambushing the group using the lift, but failed when one of the terrorists threw a grenade inside, with the shrapnel injuring Henrich and Sekov majorly and Zakem minorly. During the crossfire, the mercenaries then fired a shot at AndroidTan, hitting him in the right chest, and at Mezeha and Dekli, hitting them in the leg and arm. Meanwhile, the mercenaries fired into the terminal on the ground level, killing many civilians fleeing behind the gates. Once the terminal was sealed, all flights to Verdansk International Airport abandoned their landings and were marked as "Delayed".
After the bloody killing spree of civilians and security guards inside the terminal had ended, when they reached the tarmac, the Verdansk Landespolizei special combat units (consisting of armed officers in riot gear) was deployed in order to engage the mercenaries and his men and stop the massacre. Considerably more well-armed and skilled compared to the outmatched airport police, the special combat unit used riot shields to great effect and killed two FPJC mercenaries in the ensuing shootout. However, they nonetheless ultimately failed to stop the terrorist group, leaving only four (including the FPJC commander) to escape.
The surviving terrorists reached their getaway vehicle, an ambulance, in which a bribed Rettungsdienst medic and a driver had been waiting for them. The FPJC commander, already aware of counter-terrorist units going to find evidence, then disposed of all of their weapons and boarded the ambulance. The ambulance drove away, leaving the weapons to be recovered by the FSB.

The Verdansk Landespolizei then secured the airport, left with the hundreds who lay dead or dying within after the act of terrorism. Few survivors were found among the bloodied masses of bodies, few of them being Henrich, Sekcov, and Zakem after being found injured but alive, while AndroidTan, Mezhea and Dekli were transported to Verdansk University Hospital after being found and resuscitated after suffering shock and excessive blood loss. Upon the FPJC's positive identification and presence during the incident and the use of standard-issue NATO weapons, Romarkia accused the FPJC of supporting terrorist activities against Romarkia and declared them as a terrorist organisation and that they should be killed on sight "for the deaths of the civilians and officers".

- The 2028 Verdansk International Airport Terrorist Attack was based out of the Zakhaev Airport Massacre and "No Russian", a terrorist-attack and playable mission that occurred in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) and it's campaign remaster.
