Part of the 2026 Brookhaven Anti-Corporatist Protests and Riots
The 2026 Downtown Brookhaven Bombing was the second terrorist attack in Brookhaven in 2026, following the largely successful first terrorist attack in Brookhaven on January 16, 2026, which killed 48. Targeting primarily the Downtown Brookhaven area, it occurred at approximately 2:30 PM on January 17, 2026. While there were no deaths or injuries due to the bombing itself, the terrorist attack was preceded by a shooting and a looting of the Downtown Brookhaven area which actually created deaths and injuries. This still continues to shock the Robloxian nation, but due to Mason Scorpio Smith being politically inactive, he failed to pass an appropriate executive order calling for an immediate increase in security protocols in major Robloxian cities. Some robloxians even tried to tell the Corporatist Party to pass an executive order that would evacuate the town of Brookhaven and close the town except for authorized government officials, but since the Corporatist Party found out that the major Robloxian city's new mayor, Voldex Bloke Jr., has not yet violated the Robloxian Terms of Citizenship, the town was allowed to remain open.
This was the first time Brookhaven was bombed in 27 years, with the last bombing in 1999 impacting 50% of the town's area, and most notably, the first time Brookhaven was bombed as a part of an ongoing set of larger riots.
Cause
The bombing was later revealed to be the planting of propane-based remote mine explosives placed on the interiors of key downtown Brookhaven buildings during the shootings of those respective buildings, with witnesses reporting that they heard sounds reminiscent of a bomb being planted, the sound of the bomb, and explosions, separated by a time interval of five seconds. The atmosphere above the roads on Downtown Brookhaven was immediately contaminated with carbon dioxide, vaporized water, and carbon monoxide as those remote mines exploded after consuming a lot of molecular oxygen, turning the buildings into approximately conical piles of rubble and debris that in some cases, made it onto the streets. Emergency response in the Brookhaven Police Department and the Brookhaven Fire Hall arrived at the scenes within minutes after the explosions, but with the fire hall only having two fire engines, response by the fire hall was slower than the Brookhaven Police Department's response. Moreover, the Brookhaven Police Department had enough room in their parking lot to park three police vehicles. Fortunately, civilians from unaffected buildings in Downtown Brookhaven, including the Brookhaven Mall voluntarily chose to send themselves to accelerate the emergency response, making it as fast as Bloxburg's emergency response despite the age checks to communicate executive order crippling them. Emergency response primarily consisted of evacuating and interviewing survivors, healing the injured, and covering the dead bodies.
Police Department response
Brookhaven Police Department, the town's only authority, called the Alpha Chi Pi "a militant fraternity" that was reported to have been responsible for the previous terrorist attack, the 2026 Brookhaven Mall Explosion, in a message that was intercepted by mobile data terminals by the Madison County Emergency Response Team (MCERT) that said they did this to protest against the corporatism of the Robloxian government. Once again, the terrorist attack sparked debate on whether the age check executive order was effective, and it was again succeeded by protests, riots, demonstrations, and violent acts against the age check executive order, with a side protest of holding the Robloxian government accountable for future domestic terrorist attacks done against their nation and stricter terrorism measures. However, Mason Scorpio Smith and the Corporatist Party have yet to release televised statements, but such a televised statement was not necessary because it was already implied yesterday that they believed those protests were a danger to citizen safety. However, the flags continued to fly full mast as Mason Scorpio Smith has not yet declared a day of mourning, and a public memorial service held on the same day of the event beginning at 6:00 PM at the Brookhaven Cemetery was abruptly shut down three hours into the event due to a impromptu riot beginning at 9:00 PM and lasting until 11:00 PM in the middle of the riot when the riot was confronted by riot control for 59 minutes before the last rioter was confronted.
Synopsis:
The Shooting and Looting:
According to reports, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, the Alpha Chi Pi Fraternity made a bulk purchase of firearms and remote mine explosives and had them delivered to their house, something they were able to do because they were eligible to become a small business, according to the electronic commerce website they used to purchase it which surprisingly was not in the dark web. Seeing that they were the only home in the neighborhood and their inability to drive west to Brookhaven to purchase firearms and remote mines, this became the only viable solution to them. They then reverse engineered the remote mine explosives, revealing that the shells of the remote mine explosives were hollow inside and did not contain actual explosives, and decided to fill it up with propane before supergluing a fuse to them, turning them into remote mines that can be exploded either by lighting the fuse or remotely detonating it. The Alpha Chi Pi Fraternity responded to one of their fan electronic mail from the Corporatist Party themselves which demanded a rollback of the age check executive order, which appeared to be written using generative artificial intelligence and had a sloppy physique, saying that the executive order was created to help Robloxia usher into a new era of national safety, pretending to be a fortune teller when the Corporatist Party was informed that "[it] will meet its end, its conclusion, its demise, as well its parents all the political parties it had loved" and proceeded "to release [their] frustration, anger, and soul on corporatism today", before wishing it "farewell" and said that the party tried to change Robloxia for the better but it failed and ended up being hated by many robloxians, including them. Eventually, as the shipment of the firearms later arrived and during testing of the firearms, one of the firearms were later found to be defective that it misfired, even if the firearm was fully reloaded. It was returned to the electronic commerce website with a full refund.
It was revealed that the shipment was a crate full of Colt AR-15 SP1 rifles and Remington 870 pump-action shotguns, complete with bullet projectiles. The fifty rioters would then bring the rifles and shotguns onboard their ten-person vehicles and drove to their first stop, the Brooks Diner, where one sorority named Alpha Chi Phi () awaited them with a ten-person vehicle of their own. They would do nothing too crazy, just typical harmless shenanigans at first, eating a few minutes of their time as they communicated with each other before deciding to ally together to create a team of sixty rioters. The rioters together then completed a circuit around the back of the diner, and the Alpha Chi Pi would get their rifles and shotguns, as well as their remote mine explosive, whereas the Alpha Chi Phi got their own rifles and shotguns. Alpha Chi Phi blushed in humiliation, because their Alpha Chi Pi Fraternity were able to create remote mine explosives, but the Alpha Chi Pi rioters told Alpha Chi Phi that "now was not the time to tell the secret of crafting remote mine explosives". Witnesses who saw those rioters first ran in shock and terror, believing that they will be shot in the head. However, those witnesses would remain uninjured throughout the encounter and eventually left the property of the diner itself, eventually finding locals on the street to watch out for a group of "sorority girls and fraternity boys". The rioters walked into Brooks Diner outside and clearly displayed a furious mood, causing the diner employees to be sent to calm the rioters down, only to be "shutted the [bleep] up" and just made the rioters wanting to kill the dumb corporatist party before raising their rifles and shotguns and entering the diner.
The rioters then entered the diner from its front door after climbing up the medium stone grey stairway at 2:10 PM, are they have reportedly said, "[bleep] corporatism!" and began shooting at the diners. As the rioters blasted through all the twenty-three diners, nineteen of them eating indoors and four of them eating outdoors, they killed them, and the looters would begin to loot the diner, robbing the diner by stealing its chicken specials with brown chicken, tawny t-bone steaks, medium stone grey donuts, bright yellow waffles, coke, coffee, and hot chocolate. It also stole its really black registers, institutional white sugar shakers, and the really black coffee maker that was used to make the coffee and the hot chocolate. One of the rioters planted a remote mine explosive on the diner itself. The middle-priced restaurant would refuse to serve mercy cold on a dish. They also looted the forest green plant and the dark stone grey garbage can. They also looted the takeout and restroom, killing the robloxian who sat on the institutional white toilet, with the pastel blue water on the toilet now contaminated with the robloxian's blood and stealing the restaurant's mop and a roll of institutional white toilet paper. Meanwhile, the diners tried to call the Brookhaven Police Department, but their call was interrupted before the call got through. One witness walking on the street adjacent to the diner would successfully call the Brookhaven Police Department at 2:11 PM, leading to a police response that was almost immediate, taking less than a minute for them to commute to the Brooks Diner on their three police vehicles. The witness would call the rioters "shooting corporatists".
Meanwhile, the rioters tried to get away from the law enforcement and to their next destination, the Brooks Motel, with all of their six vehicles being noticed by the law enforcement as they had visible disclosure of its rifles and shotguns being held by members. One police officer was reported to have said "holy [bleep]!" as the riot attracted a co-ed with a similar goal, the Alpha Chi Psi () Co-Ed, with its own rifles and shotguns, and five vehicles. As one police officer allegedly exclaimed, telling them rest of the police officers to get down, one of the police officers was reported to have wailed, "oh my god!". Most of the cops sobbed uncontrollably. Later, the three organizations, two of whom were university student organizations, would firebomb the police vehicles, causing the drivers and passengers inside them to be injured as their police vehicles spontaneously exploded. Then, they looted the motel, complete with the coke and planted another one of their explosives. The rioters, now 110 strong, got the attention of another police vehicle with a megaphone demanding to know why the rioters did this, in which the female president of the Alpha Chi Phi Sorority firebombed the police vehicle in response, which severely damaged and vehicle which injured the bodies of the passengers and driver inside. They were unable to get others to seek cover, but the gunshot residue, visible proof of a shooting, and the suspects were obvious.
The suspects, now pedestrians due to the fact Brookhaven Bank has no parking lot, moved to the Brookhaven Bank, where they proceeded to rob it despite the brand new safe being installed to reduce their likelihood of success. They would end up becoming thieves of the local bank managing financial statuses of robloxians who used the bank. They then proceeded to kill the two bank employees who sat on their really black computers typing on their olivine-lit keyboards, collaterally damaging their workplace and sent bits of their workplace material, including pieces of computers and keyboards flying across the bank. The rioters then looted the cash and the automated teller machine (ATM). Moments after the ATM was looted, the bank had been completely robbed, with the brand new safe now emptied and the money on the dark stone grey shelves replaced with a remote mine where the cash used to be, triggering the bank alarm which caused ten nearby police officers to arrive at the bank. In order to avoid being hit by gunfire, the rioters chose to hop aboard on their vehicles. A significant number of citizens inquired after reporting hearing "gunshots" coming from within the bank, the sounds of looting, and the sound of the bank alarm.
When they noticed the rioters had started to drive to Corner Apartments with the penthouses, the robloxians living in those apartments and penthouses started "freaking out." A police vehicle began to pursue them all the way towards the apartment, but the police vehicle chose to drive an alternative route since simply following them would result in an immediate firebombing. While on the alternative route, the police vehicle would summon a large number of additional police vehicles, and their police vehicles started to run out the parking lot and onto the alternative route too. While they were doing so, they heard that several of their police vehicles were firebombed, and so the rest of the police vehicles decided to leave the penthouses to find a good hiding spot for vehicles, where one police officer then called for "an extreme number of police vehicles," a backup-like response that is only used in extenuating circumstances. They tried to reason to the robloxian on the phone that they were dealing with an extreme number of rioters, some of which might be well known, and they got their backup request approved. Additionally, they gave the order for all prisoners to hide within their cells, and some police vehicles drove back to the Brookhaven Police Department to check on the detainees.
In that moment, the rioters began by aiming at an apartment window, breaking through the glass and looting the apartments and penthouses while robloxians were being protected by evacuating the entire apartment altogether due to an remote mine being planted on the apartment. A female robloxian was purported to have exclaimed, "Oh my god!" and cried out in agony, while she evacuated the apartment with her two children. The apartment sustained significant lootings. An police vehicle standing close to the apartment and penthouse said on their megaphone after its driver saw a firebomb directly aimed at its windshield: "Retreat! The rioters have aimed their firebomb at us". After that, the firebomb detonated and exploded a police vehicle, injuring the driver and passengers inside. For the next one to two minutes, the rioters prepared to retreat and hop on their vehicles driving towards the town hall, with firebombs striking a number of police vehicles that were attempting to rush at their vehicles, and another group of police vehicles drove and hid at a new location. At this point, their firebombs would start missing significantly, causing the police vehicles to start using whatever they had in their armory to destroy the vehicles of the rioters. Videos reported on the ongoing altercation between police and the rioters. According to John Puma, who was interviewed with the prompt regarding if it is possible that Robloxia is currently undergoing a second civil war after the first civil war, which occurred back in April 12, 1861, John Puma replied "kind of". The news report lower third accompanying the video was titled "Second Robloxian Civil War likely?" with the subtitle reading "War experts predict Second Robloxian Civil War likely, prepare for wartime conditions immediately."
Meanwhile, the mayor of Brookhaven called for the police to look after the government, but the mayor did not hear him because of the countless bits of glass flying around due to the looting of the town hall and the planting of a remote mine in it and weapons flying around, some detonating, and some fired. During the time at the town hall, the looters walked to a central stairway in front of a small garden and looted the offices, driving school, and the utility manager. The courtroom and the office of the witness protection program and the mayor's office was looted on the second floor. Voldex Bloke Jr. was out of office during that time as he had to visit a nearby town hall meeting.
As the rioters made their way to the Madison County Civilian Airport, a number of police vehicles started to retreat from the eleven vehicles as a result of the constant, fast-paced altercation. Later, five of the vehicles driven by the rioters firebombed five police vehicles that were attempting to leave the town and manually request for backup in some other town's police department, totaling some of them as they were unable to driven safely and injuring all the drivers and passengers inside. The altercation was so rapid that chikorita152e called it the First Battle of the Second Robloxian Civil War, also known as the Battle of Brookhaven, due to the fact it was a major land battle of that war, even though the Robloxian armed forces have not being involved at all, making the battle cold. chikorita152e then said the rioters seemed to be commanded by three commanders and indirectly engaged the Robloxian Armed Forces. As the battle began, many of the citizens who were present at the battlefield started to flee and hide behind buildings, in fear that this battle was fought between 110 rioters and many police officers. When the citizens first began hiding inside establishments, several of the owners had everyone enter and hide behind counters.
Eventually, the rioters arrived to the airport and immediately triggered the screening alarm which screened for weapons. The Robloxian Transportation and Security Administration employees were alarmed by this and immediately confronted the 110 rioters while shooting four robloxians who were waiting for their flight to be allowed to checked in. The minor airport then saw the worst thing when the 110 rioters went to a passenger airliner, boarded the airliner, and (surprisingly) departed the civilian airport. They were seen at Runway 12/30 and prepared to head southeast at a compass heading of 124 degrees. As the lear jet took off the runway, the police admitted defeat. The firing of the weapons caused the airport windows to sustain considerable damage as a result of the gunfight. A hundred law enforcement personnel were inside the airport having been humiliated as they were defeated by 110 rioters. Meanwhile, in the lear jet, the rioters realized that the lear jet was carrying a heavy payload of bombs with some space for a nuclear weapon, but they chose not to deliver the payload today, instead favoring a remote detonation as a payload. As soon the Alpha Chi Pi fraternity pushed the big really red button on their remote mine device on 2:30 PM, the remote mines exploded, with the time interval separating them being five seconds, reducing the buildings they detonated into conical piles of debris and rubble, including the airport, which all of the buildings were fortunately evacuated. The lear jet then made a turn for the northeast after it left the town limits of Brookhaven and began heading due east, eventually landing on an abandoned road which had being converted to an runway by the Alpha Chi Phi and Alpha Chi Psi which were their next door neighbors, and taxied to a hangar with three other lear jets retrofitted as actual bomber jets. They disembarked the plane and moved to their houses.

Aftermath:
Following the events that transpired, Brookhaven tried to implement a heavy security protocol on their town, but it simply backfired. Armed guards were disappointed to find out they were not needed. Meanwhile, Downtown Brookhaven remained closed for the rest of the day while investigators questioned witnesses and searched for evidence. Some essential businesses in the area temporarily relocated or closed in a fearful reaction.
The riot that followed.
Three hours and thirty minutes later, at 6:00 PM, a memorial service that was planned to last five hours was held at the Brookhaven Cemetery with the moment of silence at the end of the event coincidentally timed to the beginning of quiet hours to honor those who perished in the bombing, where friends and family of the 30 victims would gather to honor them. Family members and friends of those killed shared stories about their loved ones. When the seventeenth speaker came on 8:50 PM, it was a friend of the Robloxian who was at the diner being devastated to hear that the Robloxian is not coming back. Ten minutes into the speech-like story and the speech having concluded, the applause was thundering, only to be interrupted by a joyfully noisy riot which started with random robloxians screaming "LET US SPEAK AHHH BASZUCKIII!" and repeating that yell and scream until they were told to disassemble on 11PM by riot control, with the disassembling taking 59 minutes to execute.
Amid the riots, fear escalated, and debates on whether the age check executive order should be rescinded once again commenced. Experts say that the political impact of the previous two terrorist attacks would forever haunt the 2028 United States of Robloxia Presidential Election, with many news outlets surveyed revealing that most Robloxians had little to no approval with the Corporatist Party and protests in the Robloxia country would continue for the future, and public trustworthiness of the Corporatist Party was so low that it was predicted by betting markets that David Baszucki would not win the United States of Robloxia Presidential Election in 2028 and that their seats on the Robloxian Congress might go from 535 to a very little number. Political conversations were also shifting to discussing the topic of communication and whether age checks should be used to limit communication.
The economic impact was already priced in, as some businesses had to be temporarily relocated for a day, with small businesses who were unable to afford relocation fees and other essential businesses simply opting to temporarily close their doors for the rest of the day. Heavy losses suffered in the businesses, even those that opted to temporarily relocate. However, strangely enough, during the previous 2026 Brookhaven Mall Explosion, the average stock in Robloxia gained 3.11% and further gained 0.25% after hours, with the Robloxia Corporate Index closing at 34,912 and the futures closing at 35,000, a 19.14% increase from the bear market bottom of 29,308 recorded on January 9, 2026. The Robloxia Corporate Index was on the verge of entering a new bull market, despite the fact there was no attempt to provide economic relief during what economists called a national economic emergency. The state of Kionne Republic tried to give economic relief, such as giving a state tax break and decreasing the loan rates in the state to the lowest allowed by Robloxian government law, though the flat income taxes remained 30% in Robloxia. Even more paradoxical was that because communication was important to employees, many employees resigned to protest the age check order, causing the unemployment rate to skyrocket.
The societal response was mixed; while many robloxians societally were brave enough to visit public places in Brookhaven, many businesses societally felt like safety was paramount, therefore, safety drills began to increase in number. Public protests against the age check executive order continued after the event, with many robloxians blaming the government for not letting them speak. Vigils, memorial services, and charity drives were attempted to be held, but the in-person versions of those events ended up being interfered with riots and protests for the age check order to be rescinded. The Robloxian government is yet to respond to the bombing properly.
Government Suppression:
On January 27, 2026, the Robloxia Communications Commission (RCC) was charged for suppressing the independent media footage of this attack, as well as the previous mall explosion. While it censored the strong language used by the terrorists, it also censored the word "corporatism", preventing any Robloxian from deducing what the terrorists were protesting. This was controversial, and for the next few hours, many Robloxiapedia users threatened to boycott the RCC by putting independent uncensored media footage of this attack on other platforms. This was largely successful and win for press freedom. The RCC is yet to be sued by the Robloxian people for infringing on press freedoms. Some social media platforms just suppressed the strong language but never suppressed the word "corporatism", however, which at least allowed robloxians to deduce what the terrorists were actually protesting.
