On October 21st, 2025 at 11:38 AM, Liberty County Sheriff's Office Deputy Adam Peterson of Robloxia was on routine patrol of Riverside Drive when Joe "Lawnmower Joe" Hernendez opened fire from brush with a rifle, similar to the Shooting of Charlie Allen.
Background
Adam Peterson is a 5-year veteran of the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, is heavily expierienced, and is a member of the Special Weapons and Tactics unit of the LCSO.
Shooting
While Deputy Peterson was patrolling normally, an assailant [or, Joe] opened fire on his patrol vehicle with a rifle,.
Surprisingly, Peterson was not struck in the barrage, and returned fire.
Peterson drew his sidearm, and fired into the brush to the right of his vehicle, through his passenger window, striking Joe multiple times.
However, Joe was still able to fire, and continued to spill shots at Adam's vehicle.
Adam was able to pull over, and grab his patrol rifle from its rack, for longer, more accurate shots at Joe.
At 11:39, Joe had ran off.
Investigation
Traffic camera footage of the incident was able to identify the shooter, Joe Hernendez, and the firearm used was later recovered, a Bushmaster .223 with a bipod and 2x zoom red-dot scope.
Adam was put on paid leave due LCSO Policy, and has since returned to work.
