On the morning of October 7th, 2025, Roblox County Sheriff's Office Deputy Allen of Snowkin State was on routine patrol when a gunman with a rifle fired at his patrol vehicle, striking him multiple times, resulting in Allen's death.
Background
Deputy Allen was a fairly new deputy of Roblox County, and was not yet well known. He had only 2 months earlier graduated from the Snowkin Peace Officer Training Course, and was off field training. He was only 24 at the time of his death.
The Shooting
Deputy Allen was patroling postal code 3024 at 9:13 AM, when gunfire erupted from the brush, immediatly striking Allen through the vest, since it was only rated for 9mm impacts.
Allen pulled over and drew his sidearm, firing off 17 rounds at the shooter, emptying his entre magazine.
Allen had hit his panic button while shooting, however, it was called off minutes later when he could not be located.
He was grabbing his patrol rifle when the unknown gunman came up behind Allen and fired.
The gunman then fired off 5 rounds before Allen was able to get his rifle out of the locked rack in his patrol car, and fire off 14 rounds into the torso of the gunman.
Allen, unknown at the time, was fatally hit in the back of the neck, as a bullet had gone down and hit his heart.
In the last moments before he died, which was caught on bodycam, he was seen opening his trunk, muttering: "I should've left that medkit somewhere more findable.."
Meadow Healthcare was unable to respond, and a fellow deputy found Allen's body and patrol car about an hour later.
In the bodycam footage [TBA*], the time when Allen was most probably dead was 9:16 AM, which was when he collapsed when searching for his medkit in the trunk
Aftermath
The funeral for Allen was held on October 11th, 2025.
The road has now been "Charlie Parkway" in his memory.
The road section that the shooting occoured on has since been reopened
The shooter has been identifed as Joe "Lawnmower Joe" Hernendez of Liberty County. Snowkins State Police and Roblox County Sheriff's Office are working on a joint operation with the Liberty County Sheriff's Office to arrest Joe.
Allen's patrol car was searched by RCSO forensics and the following were found:
Blood on the drivers' seat.
Seventeen 9-milimeter shell casings in the drivers seat, and also on the floor of the vehicle.
Tenty-six bullet holes through the passenger-side window, nine being the approximate size of 5.56 NATO/.223 Reminton, and the other seventeen being the size of 9x19mm rounds.
The Roblox County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death was a gunshot with an entry through the left of the neck that went down towards the heart.
