The 2025 Most Famous User Tournament was a single-elimination bracket started by user Scorpio8783 on May 6, 2025. The competition is to see which Robloxiapedia user is the most famous next to the bureaucrat, ChikoritaTheRobloxian. It was cancelled on June 1, 2025, in the finals round, due to Scatman315 being accused as an alternative account of Scorpio8783, which some users accused him for rigging the semi-finals, as well as general tournament format controversy. Later, Scatman315 and Scorpio8783 were blocked on FANDOM simultaneously, leading to considerable suspicion and speculation that Scatman315 may have actually been an alternative account. However, until FANDOM staff confirms this is the case, Scatman315 will be assumed to be an independent user. Because this tournament proved to be popular in the Robloxiapedia community, the event has been reinstated under a new host, which can be found here.

The Most Famous User Tournament was a series of posts to determine the most famous user on the wiki beside ChikoritaTheRobloxian. 32 users (listed down below) was drafted into eight matches for the pre-quarterfinals or premiere. Each match was posted daily under announcements. The user with the highest amount of votes would move on the quarterfinals and so on. This would continue until there are only two users left. If two users receive the same amount of votes, they would both move on into the next round. If in the finale, two users receive the same amount of votes, then a sudden death match would occur to see which user is the most famous. Users are not allowed to vote for themselves, but to see the votes, a fifth/third additional option will be made only reserved for those in the match.

The tournament was originally estimated to continue until May 20, 2025. The First Round will hold 2 matches, each with 4 users. The Second, Third, and Fourth Rounds will also do this. The quarterfinals kickoff with the Fifth and Sixth Rounds, each with 2 matches and 2 users. The semifinals, will host two rounds, the Seventh and Eighth, which will have 2 users per match. The Finale Round, finals, or Ninth Round will host the two winners of both sides. The winner of that will be declared the most famous user on the wiki, besides Chikorita. All rounds will be randomly generated. Each poll would only open for 18 hours and be opened at 02:00 UTC. In other words, they will close at 20:00 UTC.

Rules and Layout

  • Total Participants: 32 users
  • Tournament Style: Elimination-based, divided into 9 rounds
  • Voting Mechanism: Users vote for their preferred contestant in each match. The user with the highest number of votes advances.
  • Self-Voting: Users' votes will not count.
  • Vote Visibility: To view vote results, users will be able to vote to see. However, their votes will not be tallied.
  • Ties:
    • If two users tie, they both advance to the next round.
    • In the finals, a tie will trigger a sudden death match to determine the winner.

Criticism and Eventual Cancellation

The most famous user tournament has been criticized for not adhering to the original format it once was promised. Due to this, the tournament has been criticized as unprofessional to some users. The tournament host even announced randomness of matches even though a majority (approximately 55%) have requested it be held on a bracket format. Due to how the tournament was formatted, the final will end up having three users, contrary to the initial assumption of having two. A promised option that the subjects of the round could choose to see the results was only used in one round. Rules were also changed in the tournament so that the subjects of the round could also vote, but the votes would be discarded.

As a major consequence of the criticism, some users have demanded that the final round be reverted back to a two person round and have MatthewPlayThrought and Scorpio partake in a sudden death round instead of a three person round.

Scorpio8783, ended up not debunking most of what the criticism was stating and well aware of this criticism and his poor tournament planning expertise, decided to call off the tournament in the end, admitting that it was flawed.
