The 2022 North Bloxifornian gubernatorial election was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the Governor of North Bloxifornia. Incumbent Governor Tommy Laurie of the Robloxian Democratic Party ran for re-election against Michael Sterling, the Republican nominee and former mayor of Old Town Bloxifornia. The election was marked by intense debates over economic policies, environmental regulations, and state infrastructure projects. Laurie, who was first elected in 2018, campaigned on expanding public transportation, increasing funding for education, and continuing progressive policies, while Sterling focused on lowering taxes, reducing government spending, and addressing crime rates. Despite early predictions of a tight race, Laurie secured a well re-election victory, winning 54.3% of the vote compared to Sterling’s 44.8%. His victory was largely attributed to strong support in urban areas like Kortia, South City, and New River City, while Sterling performed better in rural towns, like Bobaria and Funville.

The election also saw the highest voter turnout in North Bloxifornia’s history, with over 4.1 million ballots cast, reflecting the increased political engagement across the state. Sterling initially refused to concede on election night, citing alleged voting irregularities in certain counties, but no evidence of widespread fraud was found. His concession came on November 12, 2022, after the state confirmed the final results. Laurie’s victory ensured that the Robloxian Democratic Party maintained its hold over North Bloxifornia for a third consecutive gubernatorial term.
