The 2021 Western Roregon Earthquake was a 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck the western parts of Roregon, Robloxia, on November 12, 2021. The earthquake occurred at around 3:27 p.m. local time, with its epicenter located 35 miles east of Redmond Bay, along the Roregon Fault Line. It was the strongest earthquake to hit Roregon in recorded history, causing widespread destruction across multiple counties, mostly in Perry County. The seismic event was felt as far east as Blockogon and even in some coastal areas of northern North Bloxifornia. Strong aftershocks continued for weeks, with the most powerful measuring 6.4 magnitude on November 18, 2021. Due to the earthquake’s intensity and duration, significant damage to infrastructure, buildings, roads, and bridges was reported, with several towns experiencing complete power outages.
The earthquake caused at least 162 deaths and injured over 2,500 people, making it one of the deadliest natural disasters in Robloxian history. Many of the casualties occurred due to collapsed buildings, landslides, and fires, particularly in densely populated areas like Redmond Bay and Port Westwood. A gas pipeline explosion in downtown Redmond Bay led to multiple fires, requiring emergency responders to evacuate the area. Schools, hospitals, and public buildings suffered structural damage, forcing thousands of residents to seek temporary shelter. The Roregon Highway System was severely impacted, with major road collapses along the Bloxington Freeway, cutting off access to certain rural towns. The North Bloxifornia-Roregon High-Speed Rail Line was also suspended indefinitely after damage to key sections of the railway.
The economic impact of the earthquake was estimated to be over 40 billion Robux, with reconstruction efforts expected to take years. The Robloxian government declared a state of emergency, deploying National Guard units to assist with rescue operations and disaster relief. The Roregon Earthquake Response Committee (RERC) was established to coordinate long-term recovery efforts. International aid was also provided, with donations and supplies arriving from Telamon Islands, and Ro-Kasom. Scientists later confirmed that the earthquake occurred due to a sudden rupture along the Roregon Fault, a previously underestimated fault line running beneath the region. The event sparked discussions about seismic preparedness, with calls for stricter building regulations and emergency response planning.
