1Dev2 (September 1, 1935 – November 26, 1985), also known as Edwin Smith or 1dev2, was a Robloxian urban planner best known for designing and establishing the Town of Robloxia, a planned suburban community in Bloxburg Valley, Robloxia. Born and raised in a village in the central plains of Bloxburg Valley, 1Dev2 had a strong interest in urban development and sought to create a peaceful, well-connected town where residents could thrive. His vision for the Town of Robloxia centered around careful planning, ensuring that residents had access to essential services while maintaining a balance between residential, commercial, and public spaces. Construction of the town officially began in 1960, when 1Dev2 was only 24 years old, with the first homes and businesses completed by 1962. Over the next two decades, the town grew steadily, attracting families looking for a quiet suburban lifestyle. 1Dev2 personally oversaw much of the town’s development, ensuring that new facilities such as schools, clinics, and fire stations were built to accommodate the needs of the growing population. By the 1980s, the Town of Robloxia had reached its peak, with a population of over 450 residents, a thriving local economy, and an active community that frequently held events and festivals.

Despite the early success of the town, the mid-1980s marked a turning point in both its fate and the career of 1Dev2. The town’s small factory, a major source of employment, was forced to close due to safety violations, leading to financial struggles for many families. As businesses began to shut down, fewer job opportunities were available, prompting some residents to leave in search of better prospects elsewhere. During this time, 1Dev2 became the subject of controversy when a series of false accusations and misinformation spread by unknown groups linked him to criminal activities. These allegations damaged his reputation, and he gradually withdrew from public life, making fewer and fewer appearances. In 1985, he mysteriously disappeared without explanation, leaving the town without leadership. The absence of a central figure to manage town affairs led to further economic and social decline, with infrastructure falling into disrepair and crime rates increasing. By the early 1990s, the town was nearly abandoned, and in 1994, the last remaining residents left, officially marking the Town of Robloxia as a ghost town.

Early life and education

1Dev2 was born on September 1, 1935, in the small village of Darwillingville, located in the central plains of Bloxburg Valley, Robloxia. His parents, Harold and Martha Smith, were both local shopkeepers who ran a small general store in the village. They gave 1Dev2 another name, Edwin Smith for certain passports and other related things, due to his name being considered odd and not well structured. Growing up in a rural environment, 1Dev2 developed an interest in town planning and construction from an early age. He would often sketch ideas for buildings and roads, fascinated by how settlements were organized. His curiosity about urban development grew as he observed the growth of nearby towns and cities.

He attended Darwillingville Primary School, where he excelled in mathematics and drawing. In his teenage years, he continued his education at Bloxburg Valley High School, where he was known for his interest in architecture and geography. Teachers noted that he was particularly skilled at designing small-scale models of towns using paper and wood. After graduating in 1953, he enrolled at the University of Bloxburg Valley, where he studied urban planning.

During his university years, 1Dev2 focused on the principles of city development, infrastructure planning, and community organization. He was particularly influenced by the idea of planned suburban communities, which were becoming more common in different parts of Robloxia. He graduated in 1957 with a degree in urban planning. After completing his studies, he worked briefly for a city planning office in Bloxburg Valley before deciding to pursue his own vision of creating a new suburban town. This idea would later become the foundation for the Town of Robloxia.

Life and career

After graduating from the University of Bloxburg Valley in 1957, 1Dev2 began working as an assistant urban planner in a city planning office in Bloxburg Valley. During this time, he gained practical experience in zoning regulations, road networks, and community infrastructure. However, he was dissatisfied with the way cities were expanding without proper organization, often leading to overcrowding and poor living conditions. He wanted to create a town where everything was carefully planned, with enough space for homes, businesses, and public facilities.

In 1960, at the age of 24, he secured funding from private investors and purchased a large piece of land in the outskirts of Bloxburg Valley. His goal was to build a well-structured suburban community from the ground up. Construction of what would become the Town of Robloxia began the same year, with 1Dev2 personally overseeing the layout of roads, residential areas, commercial districts, and public spaces. The first houses and businesses were completed by 1962, attracting families and small business owners looking for a peaceful suburban life.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, the town continued to grow. Schools, parks, and essential services such as a fire station and police department were added. 1Dev2 was deeply involved in the town’s management, working closely with local officials to ensure that developments followed his original vision. The town’s population reached over 470 residents by the early 1980s, and it was regarded as a model for planned suburban communities in Robloxia.

Despite its initial success, the town faced challenges in the mid-1980s. A small factory that provided many jobs was shut down due to safety concerns, leading to an economic downturn. As businesses closed and residents moved away, the town struggled to sustain itself. At the same time, 1Dev2 became the subject of rumors and false accusations that damaged his reputation. By 1985, he withdrew from public life and mysteriously disappeared later that year. Some sources stated that he died on November 26, 1985. With no leadership, the town fell into decline, and by the early 1990s, it was almost completely abandoned.
