a battle in the war

The 100 Years’ War was a long and bitter struggle between the Kingdom of Bloxia and the Kingdom of Rogaulia, lasting from 1337 to 1453. The war was not a single, continuous war, but rather a series of battles, truces, and political maneuverings that spanned over a century. However, most Robloxian record books would simply believe that this war is the longest war in Roblox history. At its heart, the war was about power, territory, and legitimacy. The Bloxian kings believed they had a rightful claim to the Rogaulian throne, while the Rogaulians rejected that idea and insisted on their own line of succession. Despite its name, it did not actually last for 100 years, but actually lasted for 116 years.

The conflict began when Edward III of Bloxland, whose mother was a Rogaulian princess, claimed the Rogaulian crown after the death of the Rogaulian king without a direct male heir. The Rogaulians crowned Philip VI instead, sparking the beginning of hostilities. Over time, the war evolved from a dynastic dispute into a broader struggle for control of Rogaulia and dominance in Eurobloxia.

Throughout the war, both sides experienced triumphs and disasters. Bloxian victories such as those at Crécy and Agincourt were devastating to the Rogaulia, thanks largely to the Bloxian longbowmen. But the tide eventually turned. One of the most iconic moments came with the rise of Joan of Blox, a young Rogaulian peasant girl who claimed divine visions. Her courage and leadership inspired the Rogaulians to rally and push back the Bloxian forces.

By the end of the conflict in 1453, the Rogaulians had successfully driven the Bloxians out of nearly all of their continental holdings, leaving only the port of Calais. The 100 Years’ War profoundly reshaped both nations. Rogaulia emerged more unified and centralized, while Bloxia entered a period of internal strife. The age of knights and castles was fading, and a new era of gunpowder, standing armies, and nation-states was beginning.
