Watchmen: Justice is Coming is a multiplayer online adventure fighting game developed by Glu Mobile, Inc. and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc. exclusively for the iPhone. It was released on Feb 26, 2009 to coincide with the release of the 2009 film Watchmen. Like most of the film's promotional material, however, the game is no longer available for download in the App Store. It was the first online role-playing game for the iPhone.
Gameplay
The game is set in 1975 in the alternate history of the Watchmen universe where citizens have taken up fighting crime as superheroes. The game allows the player to create their own character with unique looks, skills and costumes and explore New York City in a real-time world with persistent gameplay progress and stats. The player follows an original storyline inspired by Watchmen and complete objectives to level up your character.
Throughout the game, the player can find hidden artifacts, fight criminals and challenge other players in strategic battles. The player can chat with other online in-game players. There are five different areas of town to explore: Downtown, Red Light District, Cemetery, Financial District, and City Park.
