Treasure Island is a comic book shop based in New York City.
History
The Police Strike of 1977 took place in front of Treasure Island in New York City where Nite Owl II and the Comedian attempted to quell the rioters.[1]
In 1985, Treasure Island featured a poster ad for a comic book titled "Mutiny on the Bounty".[2]

- Treasure Island is named after the classic Robert Louis Stevenson adventure novel of the same name.
- The shop's title being pirate-themed also reinforces the degree to which pirate stories have completely replaced superhero fiction as the main genre in comic books within the Watchmen universe.
- Above Treasure Island storefront is an advertisement for Nostalgia from Veidt enterprises.[3][2]
