Thomas Younger is an employee at National Bank.
Biography
National Bank representative Thomas Younger had been searching for a new promotions plan for the company. In April 4 1939, Younger announced his plan in a meeting and that this new promotion was to be "contemporary". Younger received a letter from fellow employee Dick Loomis who suggested that upon read about the rise of costumed adventurers in the New York Gazette that they should have their very own superhero who would be protecting their customer's money as a publicity move. Younger was quick to agree to Loomis' idea, but suggested that they should hire someone new and athletic rather than hiring someone that's already established, stating that it would be easier to have somebody whose image they can shape and control.
On September 11, 1939, Younger wrote a letter to Laurence Schexnayder offering the services of their company's superhero mascot, Dollar Bill, to aid the Minutemen in their fight against crime. He stated that not only would this help further raise the bank's publicity, but that having Dollar Bill would be a favorable asset to the Minutemen's public profile.[1]
