Biography

Mister News

In 2019, Seymour discussed the recent squidfall with a delivery man. He placed forth a conspiracy theory that President Robert Redford and his "libstapo" are the ones behind the squidfalls as part of a false flag operation to keep the public distracted while the government continued to take away the rights of the people. The delivery man asked if he intended to vote for Joe Keene, Redford's possible opponent for the presidency, given his dislike for Redford. Seymour responded, and expressed his dislike for Keene as well as he viewed him as nothing more but a clone of his father. One of his frequent customers, Bian My, arrived to pick up a large stack of newspapers for her mother, Lady Trieu. Seymour asked Bian if Trieu actually reads all the stacks of papers she's giving to her. Bian confirmed that she does in fact read them all, and asked him if he reads any of them himself. Seymour stated that he does read them, but doesn't actually believe the papers are telling the truth.[1]

On September 25th, 2019, Trieu and her team drove to the Greenwood District in Tulsa. Upon their arrival, Trieu headed over to Seymour's newsstand to pick up her stack of newspapers to place in the time capsule. He handed them over, while Adrian Veidt looked at a newspaper surprised to learn that Redford is still President. Seymour noted that Adrian resembled Ozymandias, believed to have died following his disappearance ten years prior. Adrian asked him what everyone thinks happened to him. The vendor said that no one cares, but he heard that one day Ozymandias walked off into the jungle and never came back. Adrian corrected him and said that Ozymandias was stranded on Europa quietly going insane. A metal sphere from the Millennium Clock arrived and hovered in the air. Seymour and Adrian looked up at the sphere, and the latter recited an excerpt from the inscription on the Merneptah Stele, “Israel is desolate, and her seed is no more. And Palestine has become a widow for Egypt". Confused, Seymour asked Veidt what that meant; Veidt responded and told him that end is coming soon and walked away.[2]
